Repeat villagers on NMT islands?

I know it is bound to happen eventually, but I have literally gotten the same villagers back to back on multiple occasions. Not only that, but every few times I go I run into one I've seen before. And I've only been to the islands like 20 times tops. I have seen Bianca 5 times now. :: ))

I'm wondering if A) I just have super bad luck, B) my island is broken, or C) other people are having the same issues.

Also, flowers rarely breed on my island?? even after watering and arranging them <--- super makes me think my island is just cursed

No ive had the same thing happen to me also, Ive had sherb show up for me like 5 times in a row now (which is ok since i have friends who want him lol) Also with the flowers ive had the same problem I think flower breeding is slower in this game?

Its happened to me several times. I think you just got extra unlucky with having a repeat that many times within that many trips With the flowers, they'll breed eventually, even without watering them.

I got Knox nearly 2 times in a row. I went Knox
Someone else who I can't remember.
And the next day, I got Knox agaIN.

I got Filbert twice today on Nook Miles islands. The game must think I'm Verecund, as they would have been ecstatic at getting Filbert. I however want Alfonso as my lazy villager.

I got a villager twice in a row. I think it was because I didn't talk to Bangle first.

When I first went to the island, I saw Bangle and didn't talk to them. But then I had them again a second time in a row, so I went to talk to the villager and since I've made sure to talk to every villager I see on the island (regardless if I want them or not), I haven't had that issue since.

My advice is to talk to them.

Today, I got Nana once, rejected her, then I went to another island with Nan (the goat), and then I went to another island with Nana again. (I invited her because I thought it was a sign that she wanted to move in, she was cute, and ICE CLIMBER!)

I would hope it is completely random, but your sample doesn't give that indication unless you were unlucky.

They seem clustered when you get multiples. Were these all on the same day? If I had to guess, the game may pull from a pool that is rolled daily.

I've seen Clay twice in a row in a different NMT islands, but then Norma appeared instead of him in the third one

i've run into eunice 5 times and zucker 4 times in total. and have seen eunice, buzz & gruff twice in a row. not sure if it's just bad luck, but spending an entire afternoon throwing NMT out of the window and not even encountering the villager you're on the hunt for despite meeting others several times is a bit yikes.

I have a feeling that maybe there are certain villagers that can show up on the islands you visit. I personally haven't gotten any repeats but then again I haven't visited that many islands. My friend however has gotten bubbles a few times as well as some of you guys, so maybe not everyone gets the same villagers to show up there
