Anybody else watch it?
It's a reality show/audition where 14 people compete in an audition to front the new rock band Supernova, consisting of guitarist Gilby Clarke, drummer Tommy Lee and bassist Jason Newsted.
Each week, there are two episodes: Performance and Elimination. In Tuesday's performance episode, each competitor sings a song that they chose from a preselected group of songs. They are in charge of arrangement. There's also an amazingly talented house band that each rocker works with (in fact, they're one of the best parts of the show). After that, voting polls are open for 24 hours on the MSN website, and once Wednesday's elimination episode begins, the three rockers with the fewest votes much each perform a song, and Supernova then sends one of them home.
Great music, great setup, and a great idea. I'm rooting for Ryan Star, but Toby Rand and Dilana Robichaux aren't bad either.
It's on CBS, Tuesday at 8 PM E/P and Wednesday at 9PM E/P.
It's definetly worth checking out.
