Rosie's afternoon was a blur, memories slip and slided in her head about the town hall. The one thing she knew for sure, was that she wasn't thirsty any more. "Maybe I should take a nap?" Rosie spoke aloud to herself, letting the thought linger in her mind, it was so tempting, tantalising. Rosie suddenly awoke from her trance with a snap. "No." she corrected herself, knowing too much that a simple nap could turn into a coma of sleep. "How about I go to Able Sisters instead?"
Rosie tip toed across the train tracks Main Street. The hustle and bustle of the town excited her as she pranced around, enjoying her classic game of 'Don't touch the cracks!' in the pavement. She made her way over to the little boutique, and entered through the door with the item of clothing on it.
As she entered the store, Mabel rushed over to her quickly, breaking her conversation with her sister, Sable. She queried as to what Rosie wanted, and Rosie told her the truth, that she was just browsing. Rosie travelled slowly around the outskirts of the store, looking what they had to offer. She was really looking for a kimono she could use during Festivale. She enquired about the 'kimono' from the Geisha outfit, but something in the middle of the room caught her eye. Something that wasn't there yesterday.
Rosie wished she could get Mabel to stop talking about this now inferior garment. Finally, when she asked if Rosie wanted to buy, Rosie declined.
Rosie ran to the middle of the room, where, on a mannequin, stood a blossoming dress. It looked so beautiful, so lovely, but green and blue didn't mix. Rosie cursed her impeccable blue coat, and stomped her paw. Mabel looked worried, but didn't say anything. Sable looked up from her sewing, frozen. Rosie was suddenly aware of the scene she'd caused, but the smile grew back on her face quickly.
"Can I take this please?"
In Labelle's accessory shop, just through the hallway, Rosie quickly found the matching yellow ribbon. Score. She took that as well, and headed out of the shop, pleased with herself. She headed to Timmy and Tommy's, and bought some wrapping paper, and letter paper.
After she had dropped off the items of work at her house, Rosie watered her blue rose garden, each flower in turn. Every flower needed to be sprinkled with the same amount. Then, thirsty yet again, she headed of to Brewster's Caf?.
