"…Kind of. I'll be looking for them, while you stay at the hotel, and I'll tell you about it. Then, we'll all go to the location they're in and deal with it together. It's called an assignment. Any questions?"

"Sounds quite interesting. Though you still didn't answer what kind of monsters..."

I smile, knowing she got it.

"Monsters come in many forms. We battle a variety of them. Mainly they're just souls of the dead wanting revenge. Sometimes it's a well-known monster, like Medusa or a cyclops. AND, there's the monsters that walk among us: monsters in disguise. They look just like us, talk like us, but deep in their soul, they're pure evil…"

I stare at her when she talks.

I jump into the conversation. "Ohhh, cool."

 

[cannedcommunism]

"Really, James. Wrong time." I glare at James, then look back at Anastasia. "So, when do we start?"

"I found some activity slightly north of here, so…we'll do that tomorrow."

I roll my eyes and fold my arms at Raphael. "Okay."

I sort of glare at James. Interesting guy, definitely.

"So…do we go back to the hotel or something?"

"I think you can. Come by again tomorrow for the first assignment."

(Bump)

"I'm going back to the hotel then," I announce, standing up.
