Toshiko stumbled back from the window, watching the demons fly over the city. "T-The ****...?!" Hastily, she grapped a handful of crumpled clothes from the bottom of her wardrobe and an old pair of Nike trainers.

Tomiko pulled her sword from her back and held it up to the sky, trying to get the attention of the demons.
One turned its dark eyes towards her, its mouth curling into a snarl. (I don't know anything about the demons appearance sorry aha)

Luna woke up when she heard her alarm beeping. She let out a groan. She was tired because she had stayed up until 2am the previous night, so she only got around four hours of sleep. She looked around for her phone. "Ugh, where is it...?" Eventually she found it on the floor next to her bed. She reached down to get it and turn the alarm off. She then went into the bathroom. After going back out, she went downstairs to make herself breakfast. She expected her father to be down there already, like he was every morning, so while she was going down she said loudly, "Morning, Dad."
But there was no answer.
"...Dad?" She went into the kitchen, but nobody was there. Am I too early or something? she thought to herself. She checked the time on her phone. It was 7:30am. He's always here around now... Maybe he's asleep. She went back upstairs and knocked on her father's door. "Dad?" she called. No answer. She knocked again. "Daaad, are you in there?" she said, louder. There was still no reply. She banged her fist on the door this time. "DAD, WAKE UP!" she shouted. Silence. She sighed, then opened the door. "Dad, you're going to be la-"
She stopped when she saw that her father's bedroom window was broken and several things had been knocked off the nearby drawers. "...The hell's happened in here?" One of the things that had been knocked over was a photograph. The glass part was broken, and the phot had fallen out of the frame. Curious, she picked it up. In the photograph, she recognised herself and her father when she was a young girl, because she had seen pictures of herself when she was younger before. But there were two other people, a woman and a baby girl who was younger than Luna was when the photo was taken. "...What?" She was confused. She always thought she was an only child because she had lived with only her father for as long as she could remember. She certainly didn't remember having a sister. She decided to ask her father about the picture when she found him, so she put it in her pocket.
She then carefully went over to the window, trying not to step on any pieces of glass on the floor, and looked out the window. Or rather, what was left of it. "Oh my god..." She couldn't believe what she saw outside. There were hundreds, possibly thousands of large, hideous-looking demons, all carrying sleeping people. They seemed to be taking them somewhere, though Luna had no idea where, why or how they all even got there in the first place. She suddenly recognised one of the sleeping people. "Dad!" She rushed downstairs and out the door.

Soon the demon lay on the ground, defeated, darkness curling up from its lifeless body. Well, if you coukd call those things 'living'.
