I create a sticky film on my mouth to hold me over until I can get a mask. "Where are the masks?" I yell. "And is it a monster making the gas, or something else...?"

"The masks are on that table. As for the gas, I'm not sure. Let's grab as much as we can and get out of here." I stumble across yet another book, this one smaller than the last. I catch a glimpse of the title before stuffing it into my bag. "The Haven"

I cover my mouth until I grab a mask and put it on. "Okay, let's grab everything we can and get out of here! This could be a trap for all we know."

"Okay." I say, hearing a low growl nearby. "Uhm... is wolfie here...?"

 

[Myst]

I grab several bags and stuff them up with as much food as I can.

 

[Beary]

I try to remember my parents, and my friends, and my boyfriend, and finally, turn back. Throwing my arms around Jean, I grin. "You're a good friend. Now, let's play truth or dare, shall we?"

"Okay, we'd better get out of here." I say, as I hear a snarl from the back of the room.

I run up the stairs and out of the shop, lugging my own backpack and several other bags.

I stand awkwardly as she hugs me, but I give her a friendly hug back. "Okay, let's go back." I say with one of my rare smiles.

The snarl turns into a roar as I reach the main room of the library. "Is everyone out?" I ask.

I grab the final things and burst up the stairs. "Pretty sure! Now, let's get out of here!"

"Don't you dare say anything about this to anybody else. I'm known for hating help, and I'd like it to stay that way."
