"Really? Well, what if I was really sorry? Would that make a-- difference? Would that satisfy you? If I was really... really... REALLY... REALLY... REALLY... SORRY? WELL, I'M NOT!"

He then laughed until he fell on the ground, gasping for air. This laugh was not funny. This laugh was evil and insane and angry and sad and sadistic. This was the laugh of a madman.

I quickly knelt down infront of him, holding his head to look at me. "You may have forgotten that cats are carnivores. Especially Cheshire Cats... If I were you, I wouldn't sleep tonight..." I purred, faking a small smile.

The Joker put his finger on her nose

"Hehehe, I sang a song about a cat once for batsy."

The joker clears his throat

"Twinkle twinkle little bat, watch me kill your favorite cat. "

The joker then adjusts his bow tie

"They were both actually humans though"

Joker laughs. It wasn't the laugh from before. It seemed comforting, even.

"Don't worry. Their both still alive"

Breaking the 4th wall again, Joker looks at us

"In most books anyway"

The Joker then realizes that he wasn't in Gotham

"Reclaimed from the dead! All crimes paid for! The slate wiped clean! The Joker is free! Ha! Ha!"

"I'm finally free! No police, no asylum, no batman!!!"

His eyes open wide

"No batman... he's not here... so many times... he always spared me... and now... no batman..."

Joker is clearly very sad over this

"That might help..."
He seems to perk up

"Yeah that oughta help!"

He sprays her

The Joker pets her some more. It didn't really help, but he guessed it couldn't hurt him. Besides, he did like petting her

"Isn't it funny how one little encounter can cleave off little pieces of your past, deform your memories and persona until you rethink your whole identity ?and as you realise how foolish it all is ?your laughter reverberates off the walls of your own emptiness?"

Continuing to pet her, joker began to speak his mind

"He could never kill me without becoming me. I could never kill him, or else no one could keep up with me..."

The Joker then sprayed her with the antidote, because he was getting bored, and had a question for her

"Quick question. When the clock strikes twelve, do I get a little kiss?"

(Despite it being almost an hour past midnight were I am)
