Instead, a young woman heads there and gets bit by the spider, but instead of giving her the powers of a spider, it gives her the superpower to control other's minds. Thanks to this, she makes everyone in the world do what she wants, living only the finest life one could imagine. That is, until one day, when Thanos and his army arrive... and destroy everything.

Moneyball (2011)
 
A guy who barely graduated from high school with no mathematical experience teams up with fellow college dropouts to run a baseball team, whose incompetent owner suffers from depression because his team can never win. Then, as the MLB season progressed, the managers started to hyper-focus on rival teams' pitchers and how they throw their "moneyballs" so that their own batters - who secretly take PED's - can hit baseballs to the moon. The team eventually makes it to the playoffs, but due to an act of god, the PED's wear off instantly, and the whole team suddenly plays like they are in a kid's t-ball league. The rival Yankees then proceed to show off their infamous dominance and win. After their loss, the managers eventually agree that baseball is "too weird for us" and spend their fan money on cruises to the Bahamas, never to be seen again.

Austin Powers, codename Jim Blonde, tries to infiltrate a hidden base ran by the villainous Doctor Yes. In the process, he attempts to befriend beautiful women, who constantly reject him Johnny Bravo-style. So, in a desperate attempt to have beautiful sidekicks fight alongside the agent, his team builds him an army of female robots. In a stroke of bad luck, they go haywire, and Doctor Yes rewires them to be on the dark side. All seems lost for Blonde, but in the end, Doctor Yes' base is blown up by the volcano it is located in, and everyone lived happily ever after. The end.
