So basically FBI says that Russia might have something to do with hacking the results of the election, what do you guys think about this? I think it's stupid but i'm not sure what the outcome of this situation is...

I think it's unclear at this point whether they actually altered people's votes (i.e. hacking voting machines) or whether they were just trying to influence people's opinions by hacking and leaking emails. If it's the former, it would cause a massive ****storm as there is really no law or precedent for handling an election where the results are completely fudged. It is obviously scary if we don't know whether our votes actually count or not and completely undermines faith in our government. If it's the latter, it's still scary that Russia was actively trying to help Trump win, but there would be nothing which can be done about it since people should have known that Russia was on Trump's side (there was plenty of evidence before the election that this was the case), but you can't overturn the result just because people are stupid and were willing to go along with Russia.

I don't know what to think, honestly. If Russia got involved I wouldn't be surprised at all, but it's not exactly something I want to think about.

that's sort of a scary thought

I don't think it would happen but like I can't believe so many people voted trump so I think I believe this

I wouldn't be surprised tbh.

It just shocks me of how many people voted for trump. Like who would do that...? If the hacking rumour is true, that would explain a lot.

I'm actually more shocked at how many people would agree with some of the leftist policies (like socialized medicine). I'm also shocked at how high Obama's end approval ratings are. Sure I don't like this guy, but I seem to have a more negative view towards today's liberals than I have towards him even after all the bad stuff he said. Honestly, I don't let one person's morals from influencing my vote, but I am really ashamed of Trump from having Russia involved in the election. In fact, I was against him back in the primaries. I can see how much he hates Hillary, but that's unacceptable.

In two days, the electoral college will cast their votes. Let's see how it goes after this was revealed.

It's not just a theory. It's pretty much confirmed now.

I 100% believe they should vote again. You can't base such a huge decision on something that ended up having nothing at all to do with the people's vote, especially when the popular vote never mattered to begin with (and Hilary won it).

It's extremely unlikely that the Electoral College would deny Trump the presidency. Most of the 300 something electoral votes he won are committed Trump supporters. They won't overturn the will of the people of their states. I'm sure there are people who voted for Trump who are having buyer's remorse like people did with Brexit, but people need to learn to be adults and carefully consider the consequences of their vote instead of just casting an emotional knee-jerk vote on Election Day and then hoping for something to bail them out from their stupidity. There are no do-overs. Maybe when Russia gets bigger and stronger over the next few years, people will learn the hard way to take this **** more seriously next time (if there is a next time).
