When someone uses sarcasm in real life, it seems totally harmless, right? Kinda funny, too. When someone does it on the internet.... well let's just say it ruins some lives... or otherwise sounds like a compliment and nothing goes as planned, when you are trying to insult them.

Remember, everything on the internet (word wise) is meaner than in real life. Someone might seem like they are yelling at you when they are not. It's just best to keep it to yourself.

I don't understand why people bully, don't they have common sense?

Remember, this is an OPINION! It's not giving you a black eye or breaking your arms. Don't post anything mean!

While it sucks when someone is being mean to you on the internet, there will always be people like that and all you can do is to learn to ignore it. Don't give "bullies" the reaction they want. The good thing about internet is that you can always ignore that person and continue with your live.

If something someone said bothered you, get off internet for a while, do something that makes you happy, then come back. Don't reply to them but if you really must, leave one sarcastically nice reply and stop at that. (ex: if someone said that you're ugly, reply with "thanks for the compliment!" and stop replying after that)

I remember I cried the first time someone insulted me on the internet (I was pretty young back then too, about 13) Now I just go "lol ok" if someone ever did.

That's why I added in "and nothing goes as planned" because some people actually take sarcasm as compliments because there is [obviously] no tone of voice on the internet.
