SCAMMER LIST!

To support Storm's decision on not pinning it:

While you are a fairly honest and legitimate member here on The Bell Tree, there always is a possible/potential way that the list will be abused. Some people may choose to team up and gang up on one member to have their name listed on here or you could really not like someone and put their name on the list just so everyone will not like him either.

In order to have something like this, a staff member needs to produce and conduct the topic. This way, the Honor Code is kept to it's fullest since it is a staff member who is posting the names. What you can do is simply PM the staff member who is in charge of the topic, tell them the suspect's TBT name, friend code, town name, and town name. Then include a detailed report of how you were scammed, where it happened, what and who was involved, and when the incident occured. Then the staff member will take it from there (maybe perform an investigation of some sort before finalizing their decision to put the suspect's name on the list).

A table could easily be made.

Maybe it looks like something this?

<table><tr><th>
Suspect's TBT Name</th><th>Friend Code</th><th>Threat Level</th><th>Amount of Members Affected
</td></tr><tr><td>Austin</td><td>5555-5555-5555-5555</td><td>Med. (3)</td><td>2
</td></tr><tr><td>Mike</td><td>1111-1111-1111-1111</td><td>High (5)</td><td>10
</td></tr></table>
You could modify that table and include Town Name, In-Game Character Name, etc...

I would explain more, but I don't think I should. If you want to try this idea out and you're a staff member, just PM me.

I concur. Merchants need to be aware with whom they are dealing with.

i agree with this, and even if it's not decided to go with it, we can always just bump this thread every day so it's always on the first page. =)
