[James]
"I'd love to try curry. Wait, we should try speaking Japanese. I don't know a whole lot though."
I looked around and there was a taaalllll blue building. Animate
"That's the one! Seven floors of otaku heaven! We should go after we eat. Wait, did we convert our money into yen? There must be a gas station or something with money exchange?" I totally forgot to convert my $200 dollars! "We did reserve the inn that allows all currency, I did a lot of research."
[James]
We decided to go straight to the hotel and luckily there was a currency exchange. It was the most popular inn on the block. We got two rooms: one for boys and one for girls. We met in the hall.
"Let's eat, I'm starving! I want some yakisoba! I love using chopsticks (OOC: in irl too), they give me blisters though."
[James]
The restaurant was FULL of Japanese people. As I was eating yakisoba, I noticed Riley putting his chopsticks across the plate when he was taking a sip of his drink. People started staring.
"That's considered rude in Japanese culture," I told him. Luckily he started eating again so people stopped staring.
"This food is delicious!" I said. I loved the yakisoba.
Tori smiled at Riley. "Sure!" She grabbed her chopsticks and poked at some food. Tori shrugged and decided to try some Takoyaki. Putting one in her mouth, her eyes widened.
[Tori]
"Woah, this is delicious!" I yelled and took more to eat.
Riley actually put his fork across the plate because he did not want to use it. He wondered why James said that to him, but shrugged it off. Nobody cared since it was a fork, and he kept using his chopsticks to eat. Eventually he finished eating.
[James]
Everyone was done eating and we all walked back to the inn. I took a warm bath and let Riley take one as well. I then cracked open a Japanese study book which was pretty fat.
Riley wondered what to do next. He decided to watch some of the Japanese shows. He turned on the television and put English captions on to help him learn more Japanese.
Riley noticed Tori was reading a manga. He decided not to bother her and kept watching television. He took out his deck of cards and scribbled some more on some of them, putting them away before anyone could notice once again. He was getting tired, so he put a Japanese blanket around him he had bought earlier at an antique store while watching television still.
[Tori]
I closed my manga and watched TV, surfing through the channels to see if anything good was on. When I saw a ghost channel, I turned the volume down and watched it.
(I mentioned earlier that the boys and girls had separate rooms. Scrap that lol)
"Reading manga is fun! I have a book that teaches Japanese with manga! Even if I don't know a lot of the characters it's pretty fun."
I read more of the book and it taught about all these strange things. "Modifiers? All this stuff makes my heard burst!"
[Tori]
"I just like seeing how the characters are portrayed and what they say." I said, holding up my manga. I was still watching the ghost channel and flinched slightly at some scenes.
"I like mangas in general because they're more exciting than a book." Riley said. He continued to watch the ghost show with James and Tori. Eventually he went to his room and fell asleep.
