Was there anything more exciting as a child than opening a Christmas Stocking? Then as you got older, you likely participated in Secret Santa exchanges. This event takes both of these classic Christmas traditions and combines them into one fun challenge!

Task

---

To design and stuff a stocking for another forum user.

We would like to see you design a stocking for another user of your choice, and then show us the items you would put inside it. Alongside this please include text explaining why you have picked these items out for them. The items can either be drawn, crafted, or photographed - they cannot be taken from the internet. These submissions will initially be submitted to a private board, and then later will be merged into a single thread to be revealed after the event closes. You will have until 11:59PM on December 24th 2024 to submit your stockings.

• You may use a combination of drawing, crafts, and photography in your entry.
• Your entry must specify a member of our community and include at least a line of text to explain why you have made these choices for them.
• All artistic elements must be your own work (AI is not permitted) and must comply with our Art Event Submission Policies and Guidelines.
• All elements of your entry must include a name card - on digital elements please right your username and with physical submissions please include a physical name card.
• If crafting a stocking, you may use a plain stocking as a base and you're welcome to use whatever craft supplies you wish.
• Collages are not permitted for the contents of the stocking - please draw or photograph these items yourself (in a shop is okay).
• You are welcome to submit more than one entry, but only the first will be counted toward the participation prize. Multiple submissions will still be considered for staff favourites.

My Stocking picks for @S.J.

S.J has been a very good friend to me over this past year, i want to pay her back by packing a pink and purple striped stocking and ship it to the south hemisphere, here is what ive decided to put in it:

-Koala keychain which is perfect for someone who is from the land of oz, to clip on any handbag and add cuteness to any outfit.
-Chocolate coins are a tradition in my country to put in stockings, so no exception ive put them here so they can be enjoyed by everyone who experiences the toy day vibes
-Friendship Bracelet for some one who has been a true and kind friend i would love to give the most amazing rainbow coloured friendship bracelet to show my admiration and thanks to a good friend.
-I know S.J loves hairbows in her profile photos, whats a better present in a stocking than a cute pink hair bow? The best addition to go with a cute hairstyle

Here's my stocking for digimon! The Puck plush is because Puck is Digi's favorite villager, and the lily of the valley desk lamp is because lilies of the valley are her favorite flower! Digi also likes cute things and glow wand collectibles, so I included a sticker sheet with some of her favorite Sanrio characters, some ""real-life"" glow wands, and a mini jar of konpeito!
also I've gotten the impression that Digi likes starry things?? digi if I'm off-base on that one then uhhh forgive me for the starry theme LOL​

For my secret stocking stuffers entry I choose skarmoury. Who doesn't like treats for a gift? Everyone likes food! Making things for gifts is great for those who don't have a lot to spend during the holidays, but to me is more special than getting money or a gift anyone can buy. But few would actually take the time to make something.

A lot of members like Pokemon, but Skarmoury mentioned that skarmoury is their favorite Pokemon. So I thought it would be fun to draw some Pokemon and items into baked cookies! I had a lot of fun making these. I also know they've been having a tough time, so I thought it would be nice to draw/gift them something. The stocking is loosely based off of one I found on Pokemon Center and really want!

As you can see, the overall theme of this stocking is bunnies! You know how much I love bunnies and so when you see this you’ll be like “yep, that’s bun alright” hahaha

And inside I’ve included a couple of items for you! Namely some Kirby merch (plush keychain and figure) and a Roost tin can (with some coasters!)

The Kirby merch because I know you love cute stuff and Kirby is the best. it’ll also serve as a reminder of the best team we were in back in TBTWC 24, the Poyo Puffs! Poyo!! Poyo!!

The roost can because we both love animal crossing and again, this looks cute and you like coffee. Like we say, our coffee needs coffee hahaha

But yes, thank you so much for being my best friend all this time and I hope you had a happy holiday and a new year May you always have peace, love and happiness. ️ stay coooooool!

I put together a stocking for Alolan_Apples!

Here's the stocking:

The first item I have chosen to include in the stocking is a Chef Apple and Friends Figure Set! These tiny figures come with four accessories: a ladle, a spatula, a pot, and a cook book! The reason I've chosen to include this item is because I saw Alolan_Apples has a thread requesting art of Chef Apple and mentioned possibly having her drawn with other chef apples.

The next item I've included are three Poké Ball suckers, pictured wrapped and unwrapped. I chose to include these because Alolan_Apples stated in a thread that these are the three types of Poké Ball he uses. The Ultra Ball is lemon flavored, the Premier Ball is cherry flavored, and the Master Ball is Grape Flavored.

And lastly I've included four sugar cookies! I chose these designs because Alolan_Apples stated in a thread that Yoshi is his favorite Mario character and Goombas, Bob-ombs, and Boos are his favorite enemies.
