Sending mail to another town (while not there)

There should be three options in Switch, if they choose to do it.

- All friends: All of your friends can send you letters from their town directly to your mailbox at the next mail cycle, just like any villager or Nintendo letter you may get.
- Favorite friends: On the Switch, in the friends list, you can add a star to certain friends. They'll appear at the top of the list despite the alphabetic difference in names. In AC Switch, you could choose to only get messages from these friends, regardless of them being your "best friend" (see below.)
- Best friends: Bring back what New Leaf did with the best friends thing and be able to talk to each other through that like before, only now you can also send each other letters. This option would be for only getting letters from people you specifically put in your best friends list.

I'd imagine that, at the post office, you could choose one of those three options for getting out-of-town letters.

This would be so cool, though I can imagine how difficult it would be to monitor swearing and bad language which may be a concern for parents.

Nintendo has a history of not letting you put in bad words even in single player games so I imagine it'll be the same for this. Parental controls are also a thing on the Switch

Oh, most of my letters are a generic string of "hi friend. Gift please. Thank you. " etc so I had no idea on those controls but they make sense!

Oh, tbh I don't think those controls actually apply to letters in NL, but what I'm saying is that Nintendo has done something like that in the past (Tomodachi Life comes to mind), so if it was a concern that parents would get upset, they could easily implement that with no problem
