Serious help deciding....

Ok guys, new and old. I need help deciding which are the better buys for the VC. I'm getting 2000 points this week and have a small list of titles that I want, but I will only have 2000 points (no leftovers this time) and want the best combo of games.

Here's my list to pick from...

Landstalker
Breath of Fire 2
Neutopia 2 (haven't beaten 1 yet though)
Adventures of LOLO
Dynamite Headdy
Shining Force
Kid Icarus

Any combo that uses close to 2000 points will be great...and thanks in advance.

Tough choices Demise...this is my recommendation:

Landstalker: (800 Points) Tough controls may be a turnoff...but this is quite simply a stunning game IMO.


Shining Force: (800 Points) Better of the 2 RPG's you have listed and is a great experience overall.

OR if you wanted to get more bang for your buck...I would recommend replacing either Shining Force or Landstalker with

Adventures of Lolo (Excellent Puzzler) and Neutopia II (Better than the 1st, though still on the short side).

Doing option two nets you 1900 points used.

Also you have to consider we probably are getting Neo Geo on Monday...so you may want to hold onto those points after all and just wait and see (though I know you're not a big fighting games fan...so this might be a moot point).

I would say if you like rpgs go for shining force




Other than that sadly I am no VC expert. I came late to nintendo stuff and didn't have too much for the old genisis...

I was leaning towards going the second route to begin with. Can't decide between Landstalker or Shining Force.

Yeah, I probably won't get any Neo Geo. I just don't like arcade fighters. But that doesn't mean I will never get one.

If it were me I'd get Shining Force over Landstalker if I was only getting 1 800 point game. I just prefer it, but you can't really go wrong either way. Actually I think Papa's recommendation is pretty spot on with my thinking. I'd probably lean towards option B because I really like Lolo, but that's just personal preference. And if you don't want to get Neutopia II you could replace it with Kid Icarus which is great. That would put you at 1800 points.

I think I will go with Shining Force, Lolo and Neutopia 2.
