"We are fourteen years old! Fourteen, Randy" said Alyssa, "we are just too old to be trick or treating." Randy replied, "Well suck it up, we barely have half a bag and I am starving." Alyssa lightly grumbled, and snuck a piece from Randy's bag. They kept walking down the dark street path until they saw a faint porch light. They ran quickly to the source of the light. They knocked on the door and an old lady came to the door. "Yes?" said the lady. "Trick or treat..." Alyssa said. "Today is Christmas?!" said the lady with eyes like a deer caught in headlights. The boys dumbfounded replied almost breaking and laughing, "No, people trick or treat on Halloween." Embarrassed, she got a few cough drops and cheerfully dropped them into the bag. "Have a good night you two!"
They were walking out when Alyssa noticed something. "What's up with your shadow?" Alyssa said pondering the shadow. Randy confused asked, "What do you mean?" "Your shadow, is contradicting with the light, it's not on the right side!" Randy looked at his shadow, he walked off and shouted at Alyssa, "I'll be back, I have to use a tree!" Alyssa yelled back, "Didn't I tell you to stop saying that?" Randy did not reply back and kept walking. He got into the woods, and thought to himself, "It's so freaky out here, I shouldn't of asked Alyssa to stay." He heard some rustling and quickly turned around. A light suddenly came from no where like a flash light.He went to look but he couldn't control his movements. He looked down and saw his shadow controlling him. He fell into the ground, and his shadow came out. It was almost like they switched bodies. The police shouted out, "Is everything okay here?" Randy replied, "Ya- Yeah!" Randy quickly left. Randy was leaving the woods when he met with Alyssa. "I got worried, you were in there pretty long!" Randy lightly laughed and they went to Alyssa's house. A few weeks later Alyssa said to Randy, "You've changed." Randy replied with gruff upon his voice, "What do you mean?" "You have been acting strangely, like your not even human. I mean, your shado-"Alyssa stopped and thought to himself. He hadn't payed too much attention to it but it suddenly struck him. Randy didn't have a shadow. Randy started to stare at him with death in his eyes. He threw Alyssa against the wall. Alyssa hit the wall and fell like a lifeless corpse. He groaned and got up. "What the hell was that?" Alyssa quickly pushed Randy back, and saw a strange happening. He saw what looked to be Randy's shadow in the other room. He was flabbergasted and quickly looked around, his shadow was on the wall. His shadow quickly pulled him in and the shadow came out...</div>
