I've seen a lot of cool ideas for new collectible designs over the last year (especially during the Red Balloon World Tour event, when everyone had to "wish" for a new collectible and come up with a design for it) so I figured I would create this thread to put all those ideas into one place!

I was inspired to make this thread because I've been playing AC:GCN and I've gotten two new ideas for collectibles:
1. We should have more pinwheels! As of right now there is only a red pinwheel and a green animated pinwheel, and no more. well, if the staff were able to make more balloons, couldn't they also make more pinwheels? there are a lot of neat designs/colors in the different AC games that could be made into collectibles!
2. I was looking up info about Sale Day in AC:GCN (it happens on the fourth Friday of November, essentially Black Friday) and I found this little pixel of a grab bag

and that just made me think "hey that would look pretty cool as a collectible!" I'm particularly fond of the grab bags because they always have three random items, with one of the items having a chance to be a pinwheel.

And of course, let's not forget:
3. I brought up an idea a while back for butterfly collectibles and a lot of people seemed to like the idea!
4. I've also dreamed that there could be more balloon colors, like yellow and purple (my two fav colors ksjdksdf) so that would be a cool idea too.
5. Snowflake Glow Wand when????

I would love to have a collectible of those classic GC grab bags! In the butterfly thread I also voiced how I wanted the yellow bird and white owl that appears on the bulletin board as well. Another cool one to have is fossils. I would kill for some, both unassessed and assessed. I quickly made mock up of those using their in-game NH icon and Lobo's background.

I really like your ideas. I, for one, would love a snowflake glow wand!

Since we just passed Halloween and I still have that on the brain, I was just thinking how cool it would be to have tarantula and/or scorpion collectibles. They would look so nice with the purple Halloween background.

I really want a deer villager collectible (preferably Erik) and I REALLY want a pitfall collectible lol I’m not too sure if that’ll happen tho

I got real squeamish doing the scorpion one so I knew I wouldn't be able to handle making a mock up of the tarantula one. Sorry about that. I do really like the idea though! I can handle them when they're this small. lmao

That looks awesome! Thank you for putting it together even though it made you squeamish! That was my biggest concern when I mentioned it because I know some people have arachnophobia so I'm sure they wouldn't want to see the collectibles all over the forum. But I love it!

I really hope we have a collectible design contest in the near future. I would love a shark collectible in a similar style to the sheep plush. But I would also be ok with having it in the style of the great white shark icon in your inventory in New Horizons.

Other none shark related collectible:

Maple leaves, snow flakes, the new flowers and hybrids from New Horizons. More villager/NPC collectibles. I would really love to have Diana or Celeste/Blathers.

▪I remember a while back writing in a similar thread that I'd like more fruit varieties like coconut, mango, lemon, banana, durian, persimmons (lychee looks too similar to cherry).

▪Would still like a permanent white turnip, rotten turnip and now that pumpkins are a thing....pumpkins!

▪Tree saplings would be so adorable too

▪ Maybe more pokeball varieties?

I feel like there aren't enough fall collectibles either

Not sure why but I'm hoping for another pokemon collectible. Other than new pokeball collectibles maybe another egg? I was thinking of a kind of Dynamax themed one with a the swirling top you see on a dynamax mon on the top of the egg. I also just love any neon collectibles in general.
