So, I just got my game yesterday and I feel like I've been having amazing luck so far and wanted to share it/ hear other people's lucky stories.

To start off, day one I find a perfect orange and planted it. It's actually growing and didn't die, so yay!

Then I go down to the beach and who should I find but Gulliver? This is still day one! He gave me a Mouth of Truth which I sold at Re-Tail.

Then I decide to go fishing and I find not one, but two Arowana and a Dorado. I've been donating all the new fish I catch, so some of the rarer ones for this season I'm done with already!

Then today I'm walking around and Ankha decides she wants to give me a Throne! Not sure if I want to sell it or keep it or what to do with it exactly, but I was just so surprised!

So, what kind of luck have you guys been having lately?

I also had a perfect fruit grown on a tree in my town the first day I started (a cherry). Haven't planted it yet, though. I know they die at some point so location doesn't really matter, but I want it to be planted in a good spot so it doesn't die. Haven't come across any more since that day.

I found a couple of Dorado my first day, as well. One of which covered my down payment with bells to spare and the other was donated.

I also came across Gulliver that day, too. Can't remember what he gave me, but I know I kept it for unknown reasons.

Other than those events, I can't remember of anything else happening. Been a while since I've started, too, so the memory's a bit foggy.

I too have Ankha in my town. One day she asked for a random green chair I had so I gave it to her. I went inside and noticed she replaced her throne with it. I was thinking "wow, you're a smart one".

Then a day later she just runs up to me and gives me the throne.
I don't even really have a use for it, but it's worth like 900,000 bells.

Yeah I finally went into her house today and realized that she had the stool I gave her yesterday when she asked for some new furniture (I shook a tree and it fell out and just gave it to her) then I realized that she probably had the throne there and gave it to me since she replaced it with a stupid stool. She said "It's hard to find a chair as cute and comfy as this." So I guess she's happy.

I'm also mad because I've seen so many balloons fly by, but I have no slingshot as my shop has only had a shovel and fishing rod so far. Kinda sucks that my only real source of income is fishing right now. I get the money rock, the crystal rock, all the fossils for the day and then the rest is from fish. Even then I donate all my fossils if I can.

Another stroke of luck happened when Gruff said he had a neutral painting (I believe that's the one) for sale that he didn't want but he didn't know if it was fake or not. I bought it and it wasn't fake so in the museum it went!

Still not actually mayor though... I'm stuck at 66% and I've done everything I can think of. Hopefully soon though!

Everyone automatically has a perfect fruit in their town on the first day, but the rest of it sounds like good luck.

For my first week in my town, I had terrible luck and was tripping constantly. Thankfully, it hasn't been happening lately though. Tripping and falling flat on your face is funny the first few times, but after that, it gets really annoying.

I once saw a golden slingshot w/ three golden balloons carrying it and when I popped the second balloon it dropped somewhere where some patterns were so it dissapeared but later on in the same day I found another one and got it and now I have a golden slingshot XD

This happened a while ago but, I was invited to Mints house and the next day she sent me a letter in the mail with a gift. And the gift was a Throne! I didn't know Mint was so rich.... >_>

I was fishing on the beach, I caught one great white shark, walked down, and then back up the beach, to find three more fins floating in the water. Great whites sell for 15k, so i was pretty happy, haha

Still not actually mayor though... I'm stuck at 66% and I've done everything I can think of. Hopefully soon though!

Make sure you pick weeds. Talk to your villagers and do them favors. Be sure you recycle all the boots, tires, and cans you may fish up. Plant some trees. Talk to Isabelle and do all her requests. When you get to a choice between fishing and catching bugs, choose catching bugs if you don't have a net. You can buy one from her for 500 bells. After you are done with all her requests, she will give you a free watering can so you can water flowers too! Hope this helps.

I found Gulliver the first day but nothing else particularly lucky has happened. I have bad luck and keep tripping lol

I've been picking all the weeds I've seen, I think I read somewhere that 4 spawn in your town each day, I've found 2 or 3 every day though. I've actually been talking to my villagers nonstop. I do all their favors and they all seem to like me, I've already changed two greetings and a catchphrase.

Question though, where do I recycle the boots and stuff? I know in WW there was a recycling bin in the town hall, but I haven't seen one anywhere so I've been selling them to Re-Tail, well, paying to have them take them.

I also didn't know about that whole thing with Isabelle, I just had a fishing pole from my shop and a bug net showed up today, so I got that now. I still need a watering can though, so I'll work towards that today. I've just been picking all the dead flowers so far since I had no way to water them. Thanks for all the help!

As far as luck goes, I caught another Arowana last night along with a lot of sharks, sold them this morning for 88k so now I don't feel so poor!

Also, Tortimer is in my town today and it's only day 3! So I guess I get to go to the island and make money that way now! Not sure if he usually shows up that early or not, but I still feel like it's really soon considering I haven't even been made mayor officially yet.

Did you finish paying for your first home loan yesterday? Tortimer is supposed to show up after you pay off your first loan.

Yeah I paid the 10,000 down payment and got the home, then I upgraded it to the next one, I think it was like 40,000 or so? Now I have the 98,000 loan to pay.

The very first money rock I hit with the silver shovel was a rock full of gems, and I got all eight drops! Also, I found a tarantula on the second night of having the game, and caught it. Second day also had Gulliver, and for a long time I had no idea how I was wanting my house exterior to be, but one day the shop had all the PERFECT exteriors and I bought them all, and I love it. It was the brownish/beige exterior with the stone, the dark oak door, a dark shingle roof, and a hedge fence Was looking for a normal house look, but with a natural and rustic feel. Well, I got what I wanted. REALLY HAPPY WITH IT, except I want to see if I can find blacker shingles.

It looks good. The street lamps are a nice touch.

Did you make the stone pattern on the ground? It has a flowing, continuous look to it. A lot of the ones I have found are very choppy, and don't match the rest of the stone in town as well as that does color-wise.

Accidentally planted the first perfect pear in a bad spot. A few days later, a normal pear I planted spontaneously grew into a perfect pear tree.
