I have a complete live-dex in my Pok?mon Bank, as well as several boxes of legendaries and shinies that I have collected over the last year. But I haven't played in what feels like six months, so I am wondering if I should just transfer all of the Pok?mon onto my copy of Ultra Moon and let the Pok? Bank subscription lapse.

Can I even fit all of the Pok?mon onto a single cartridge? I'm not sure. Everything is moving to the Nintendo Switch now, and I don't anticipate getting one which means Ultra Moon could be my last Pok?mon game.

Make your case; let's talk it out.

Eh as long as they keep the Wi-fi for 3ds/Wii U etc. why not. I recently renewed mine because event and I needed to get stuff over from OR to my US game and I still check on both, especially US for WT and GTS snags.

I don't know why people sudden abandon their 3ds's when we still got a few more game probably to come and tbh it's been one of my fav consoles ever. Plus yeah free internet :>

Short and simple answer: yes, you should.

We don't know if it will be required for Sword and Shield, you know Game Freak -- they do weird things. For all we know, Sword and Shield could have Pokemon Bank built into the games! Also, you can indeed fit a full live dex in the game. USUM has a storage cap of 960, and there are only 809 Pokemon?

They're also giving away hidden ability Passimian and Oranguru for those with a Bank sub! Worth it, tbh.

Yeah, I would definitely renew it. If you don?t plan on getting a Switch like you said, then it?s still definitely worth having Pokemon Bank for the 3DS. :)

I think it's still important to use, I've not had one before, but I am now thinking about getting it to get the hidden ability pokemon~

I've kept my Pokebank subscription live ever since they announced it. However, that may have to do with how often I play the older generation 4/5 games. Gotta have that Poke transfer to move them into pokebank before you can put them into gen 6/7 games. And, if Usum end up being your last generation of pokemon games, you might want to go back and play one of your older games again/shiny hunt in them and that's much easier to get around to if you already have a full living dex waiting for you.

You should EVENTUALLY, but if you aren't playing the game much right now I don't see why you should renew it immediately. Decide yourself when it's closer to expiring.

It’s only five dollars so I’d say buy it for one more year just to be safe and go from there.

If you're able to fit your entire living Pok?dex and whatever other excess there is from the legendaries and shinies you mentioned (and whatever other miscellaneous stuff there might be in there) then you probably ought to take them out of the Bank. If you haven't felt the drive to play in 6 months and it's expiring soon then it would currently be a waste to pay for it. If and/or when you next feel the desire to get back into playing the games again would be the time to restart the subscription. If it expires soon and you renew and continue to not play for months then it's a waste of both time and money, so moving everything onto your game would seem ideal.

That said, be sure to check to make sure that everything will fit first. I can say from experience that a living Pok?dex will fit in the game's PC Boxes, but I have no idea how extensive the rest of your collection is and/or how many Pok?mon you already have sitting in your boxes from your main Ultra Moon team or whatnot.

It expires later this month. I set up a phone alert for when it is drawing close.
