I'm willing to bet plenty of other people are already well and truly sick of Zipper T and all his darn eggs today. It's going to be a long 12 days. First order of business for me was to fence him onto the beach in rage.

How have you guys been dealing with his eggly, unwelcome presence? If you've trapped him too, please post screenshots!

I hate this. It's the same as New Leaf, so I am going to be finding a lot of eggs in the trees, water, and underground. The only ones I like are the balloons because I will be raising my total number of pop balloons faster. Plus, easter egg furniture is ugly

It ruins my timing with the Sakura DIY balloons. It's annoying. The floating balloons are just stupid egg duds.

I'm actually enjoying it. This, despite being a fan of the series since Wild World, is my first Bunny Day event. It's odd, my periods of not wanting to play the games always seemed to fall over Easter. I've never seen Zipper before. Given how it's EVERYWHERE, I can imagine it would be a bit annoying for those who are too used to him by now, but I'm gonna enjoy my first Bunny Day!

This just shows how downhill the fanbase is gotten. When you can't enjoy an event, maybe AC isn't for you, lol.

What..? I've played animal crossing games since wild world came out. We're the same fans we've always been, but we just have diverse opinions on the game's features. This isn't 'Animal Crossing: Eggs Everywhere' this is 'Animal Crossing: New Horizons' so it's a biiiiiit dramatic to tell us if we don't like this one event... that we won't like the rest of the game.

I’m just hoping that if I de-sync my time with the internet he’ll be gone. Unpopular opinion but I really don’t care about Bunny day and the furniture series for this event is tacky and doesn’t go well with any furniture that I know of tbh.

Overlapping two events makes it hard to enjoy, especially when the other takes over nearly 70% of fishing, rock smacking, woodcutting and even balloons. I just want to hunt the Cherry Blossom DIY in peace. The extra balloons kinda distracts me from timing the regular balloons since I usually listen to the gust of wind sound for where it is.

I agree with some of the other comments here. If you can't be patient for a short-term event, then this isn't the game for you.

I have always hated Bunny day events in New Leaf, I never did them because the egg stuff is hideous. I'm going to be very annoyed because I'm still trying to put together my island and now I'm going to be wasting so much time and pocket space shifting eggs around for two weeks. Aughhhhhhhh

No?

The whole reason so many people love animal crossing is that nothing is forced upon you. Events like Bunny Day force itself upon you in ways and for people who aren't interested, it's a pain. Even if you don't want the items, you still get stuck having to deal with eggs all over the island when you're trying to fossil hunt, fish, shake trees, etc. Some of us just want to play our own way and have to deal with this for a good part of two weeks.

Personally I'm trying to work on my island rating and do more crafting and such, and having to constantly get eggs out of my way is a pain when I'm trying to focus on a task.

It doesn't mean the game 'isn't for me' and that's kind of a rude statement to make just because myself or others are bothered by an event.

Again, the game's not perfect, it's not going to be and it can't be. People are going to dislike certain parts of it. And people are going to make lighthearted threads complaining about minor inconveniences in the game, too.

I'm not going to change my username to 'AnimalCrossingHater99' just because I'm wondering what Zipper's done with all the barred knifejaws.

I thought it was fun for the first couple hours but I'm already a little bored of it. Like another user said, it sort of distracts me from my other daily tasks. It's essentially the same Bunny Day we've always known but 12 days long. I'm not sure why it needs to be that long honestly. At a certain point I wanted to actually catch fish and not eggs but all I was getting was eggs. The egg balloon presents floating around feel like they appear far too often. I'm grateful that we're not forced to hear a zipper theme for the whole 12 days instead of the hourly tune though. I also really do like the new egg furniture and I think it's super cute. I need to make a bunch of it because I want to use them for a friend's birthday party, so despite feeling a little tired of it I still need to grind those eggs.

To be honest, I'd recommend... not grinding, in that case. Since the holidays so long, I'm sure you'll be able to get enough eggs relaxing to make your furniture. It seems like it's been designed to be more laid back than a rush this year.

Kinda rude. Nah just say it. It is straight up rude to just tell someone to stop playing a beloved series simply because they dont like one event. People have opinions.

And Bunny Day has always been one of the most disliked holidays in Animal Crossing. Doesnt mean people dislike all of them. I know for a fact that people will love whatever even they have planned for Halloween and Winter this year.

Yeah, exactly. You can dislike an aspect of the game without being told that it's not the right game for you.

I've played multiple copies of new leaf and rushed to get new horizons because the laid back 'at your own pace' feel of it does wonders for my anxiety.

While you don't have to do the events like Bunny Day, constantly having to deal with eggs when you're trying to do your own normal tasks like fishing, fossil hunting, etc bugs me because I'm not interested in the event, and I'm trying to work on crafting and other things.

It's really the only event I've ever disliked, especially because I've never liked the egg items and they aren't something I've ever had a use for, where as events like halloween, the items are always a bit more flexible in use and can be used for more than one theme and aren't so event-specific (if that makes sense)

I'd just like an 'opt out' option so that those of us who aren't into the event don't get eggs spawning everywhere to deal with.

Ummmmmm don't mean to interject lol but question; i have the eggs but i can't find the actual bunny? is he supposed to be here already? Just wondering

lemme check! thank you :)
edit: oh boy yup... he was at my pier lol

The grind is more like, get enough of the furniture I need so I have them ready for the party :’) but I agree, having a longer event means there’s more time to get everything without missing out. I’d usually miss out on seasonal exclusives in New Leaf because I didn’t have time to get them all. It won’t be a problem this time around, that’s for sure.

Also, just a reminder for everyone to please respect each other’s opinion. Please do not tell each other how to play the game or that it is not right for them. There is always room for criticism, even in games that we love.
