And then, as a result, we don't see the improvements or how we're grown as artists. In this thread, post some old art and new art and reflect on how you're grown as an artist. I REALLY want to see how you've improved!

Not much of an artist considering I've probably drawn less than 20 drawings in my life.
Sometimes I just felt like drawing, I'd draw a drawing or two, and then not draw for a year or two, and repeat..

I love stuff like this- your grasp of lighting has greatly improved! staticistic, your lineart improvement is amazing! ForgottenT, your chibis are really cute- I hope you keep at it. It's clear you practice a lot, lackless- I wouldn't be surprised if you told me you're a career artist. That's just an amazing piece of character art. I WISH I could reach that level of improvement.

Your line weights are a lot more confident in the recent one!! You can definitely see the improvement, wah.

I’ve been selling art at conventions for around 8 years but I’m actually an accountant, LOL. Tbh my art improvement has really stagnated over the years since I don’t draw very often because of work. I really appreciate this thread as it reminded me to look back where I came from. It’s so easy to get down on your work... I’m cheering for all of you!!

I know theres plenty more people who are better/faster at improving and at drawing than me but I'm still aspiring to become an illustrator, both tbt and my best friends are what really got me into drawing so im really grateful for this website ❤ Anyways this was really fun, I like looking back at my old art and seeing how much its changed lol

this is literally my most tryhard drawing of all time, second is this one. I made it for valetine's but I was like 3 days late bc it took me so long. I still have the original sai file, full of perspective lines.

I started using photoshop at the begging of 2019 I think, and completly dropped using lineart - I love it on tradicional, but despise on digital.

time passes but i keep being a tryhard xD
I don't like this one that much, but I wanted to compare how I make enviroments now.

2014, back when i still used vector-based program like Adobe Flash to draw:

2015, started to draw using raster-based drawing program like FireAlpaca and Paint Tool SAI but still not good at them

2016, first time drawing Anime character

Present. Moved from Paint Tool SAI to Clip Studio Paint
