(diff from usual style but ig i do digital so little its always experimental in general) (this was part of a fanzine)

Okay be warned because old old old really reeeeally OLD doodles and drawings incoming 
it's too much so I'm going to slip them all into a spoiler. Rummaging around my closet, I can't believe just how many old drawings I found and kept with me all these years. Not only did I keep a plethora of drawings but I also kept some of my old written works and stories. More than anything growing up I wanted to be a children's book illustrator and even write my own books. These range from 2004 - 2012. Going back and seeing these again made me feel really nostalgic. It's strange to say but my art style hasn't changed too drastically between then and now (except for a handful of OCs because they have been redesigned) All I can say is that I was ambitious and imaginative af 
The first ever design of one of my OCs, Li'l Ears the cabbit (half cat/half rabbit hybrid)
Here are some doodles of a little red squirrel OC named Tabitha "Sally" Tabbykins. The idea behind her is that, for such a tiny squirrel, she goes on big adventures! She even grows her own garden of flowers, fruits and vegetables which she has to constantly protect from hungry bugs. She's also really strong and can lift things you would not think a little squirrel could, such as heavy tools.
Here she is with some of her friends: a pig named Piggles, a gray squirrel named Checkers and a sheep named Little Baa

And lastly, I even drew my original Wild World villagers OMG I completely forgot about this!! Jeremiah, Purrl, Anabelle, Melba, Teddy, Curt and Roald. I guess I didn't include the 8th villager for some reason? oops
You can compare my "old" with the "new" here in my art gallery and in my art shop. It's clear that my art style is kinda the same yet not really? I switched over to digital art around the end of 2020 but idk man, looking at my old drawings makes me want to try traditional art again

I used to draw in firealpaca with an old laptop and a small wacom tablet. Art of my two characters Blue (now Rev) and Yuu (now Yuuta) circa 2019:
Now I draw in medibang paint and got a larger tablet to draw on. Rev and Yuuta in 2022:

I don't have redraws and lost access to most of my old art but there's some here on the forums

I think I improved a bit, but I'm unhappy I still don't draw backgrounds with ease lol. I actually quit drawing for a few years in this time. Unlike others, I don't look at my old art and cringe, I am happy I had a means to interact with others on here back on the day, my own behaviour in 2014 was probably cringe, but I look at my old art and think about how hard I tried to make art of peoples ocs and favourite villagers and it makes me happy. I think part of what allowed me to keep working on art was at a certain point I stopped taking it seriously or like a competition, and try to balance my enjoyment of it. Sorry to be preachy, I guess 8 years is just a long time ^^;

I’ve been drawing for about a year now, and I was looking back through my drawings, then remembered this thread and thought I’d share again! @/Roxxy has been gracefully accepting my drawings for the past year, so I thought I’d compare them.
Some days drawing feels so intuitive and other days I feel completely lost. Sometimes I feel like I’ve got something good going and then I’m disappointed in the result! My latest drawing (bottom right) is from a few days ago, and I’m so pleased with it compared to where I was this time last year (one of the first digital drawings I’d ever done).
I have such a long way to go, but I’ve found that trying new things has been motivational lately.
