i'm over it kinda. i was hoping to just hunt for eggs and give it to him. i want to avoid events like pocket camp as much as possible T_T
The Easter balloons are clearly marked though. Are you finding Eggs in normal balloons? I shot one down today and got 30,000 bells, which is normal.
Aside from that, I feel you. This is the same as it was in New Leaf. Just a ton of annoying eggs all over the place.

I just want to get the Cherry Blossom DIYs but they're so difficult to obtain with all the egg balloons flying around and making me think it's a normal balloon -_-

Yeah, I dunno about 12 full days of this. It's gonna get old quick.
When I made this post, I didn't know that the Easter balloons were different.
To add on to your post, I also wanted to say that you could use the event for easy bells and get more of the catalog finished for Nook Miles.
While it being a bit much I’m guessing the event is multiple days now as you can’t time travel to abuse missed events like in the old games. The multiple days are more for those that have to miss the day it would normally be on or for those that are busy. Once this event is over you probably won’t be able to get eggs anymore even with time travelling.
For fish yeah it sucks you can’t really get the new ones, but they will still be there after this event.
While I agree the event seems to be a bit much I’m glad it’s on for a few days as I’m busy with work from home and likely will only have time to grab a couple eggs per day. There’s no way I’d have time to get all the items in one day.
I do wish it was shorter though like a week max.

I’m enjoying the event so far however I have noticed a suspicious lack of sakura balloons, just petals - is this due to egg balloons??
I actually love all the eggs and bunny day recipes all over the place. I'm just hoarding eggs and crafting bunny day and egg stuff as I find it. I've only found one sakura recipe so far but we have the rest of the month (? forget if the blossoms disappear after April but I think so) for those. My only complaint is I kind of wish there was a cute April Fool's day event with Blanca like in New Leaf. I wonder if she'll show up at some point in New Horizons. Maybe if she does it will be another draw her face thing like in earlier games.

I actually like that the event lasts multiple days. I don't feel like I'm rushed to play the event on the specific day of the holiday, and I can find eggs at my own pace along with getting DIY recipes. It keeps me playing since I want to collect all the furniture and items for it.
