I know you said you’re not an artist, but I think you have so much talent and potential. Tutu and Kicks look so good and the background too looks cute . Keep it up! So happy to see you trying different things out and having fun .
Roxxy… face like I promised. Please don’t say those things. I love your art so it saddens me to hear you keep saying that. I know i say things like that too but I’ll try not to if you could try not to as well.

Aaaaaah! For some reason I didn't get a notification about your kind messages. Thank you so much for the kind words! I'm really motivated at the moment to keep trying to improve!
I have seen both of your art on TBT and I love it!
I’ve been thinking of treating this thread like a bit of a journal, where I can track the progress I make while drawing.
It’s really enjoyable, but I still need to eventually develop my own style, so at the moment I’m trying different ways of drawing and using different brushes. I’m also thinking more about the colour palettes I choose (and how to choose a good palette!).
I’ve been drawing lots of bits and pieces lately. I’ve also been working on some new avatars that aren’t quite there yet.
Another of my villagers, Merengue:
Lots of Whitney practice!
The first picture is what I usually do, which is several sketches, colour in, then one final line over the top at the end. In the second picture I removed the final line layers to make a line-less Whitney, but I needed to smooth out the exterior lines and also add some additional shading. The last picture I made a quick “scribble“ of Whitney to try something different since I tend to keep drawing all of these villagers in the same style (which I guess is sort of keeping to the AC style and proportions).
Fake collectibles
These little fake collectibles were for a thread. I think a tiny Blathers chick plush collectible would be so cute. I made these images as 100px squares, and then I resize them to 30px squares for posting, because that’s about what it seems the collectibles are.
SJ. Girl. You have the cutest villagers, and I feel like their posters in-game are not as good as yours for capturing their essence. SO CUTE.
Also, that Blathers plush was such a great suggestion, whoever said it, I would love to see it manifest for real!

Lots of bits and pieces that I’ve been drawing over the past week.
I am swamped with work, but I’ve spent time every day drawing this week! It also means I haven’t been playing ACNH at the moment.
This week: Installed new brushes for photoshop (exciting, but also more difficult to keep track of which brushes I’ve been using), found a book on colour theory that looks like it might be helpful, continuing to try new styles.
I just wanted to draw something to use as a reference to commission art.
Camp Ready!
This was an attempt at something Tim Burton-esque. It’s under a spoiler because it’s a failure, but a failure I want to keep track of. Also someone told me it was ”terrifying”.
I don’t know what happened. I think I’ll develop my skills more before attempting a similar style again!
More fake collectibles
A cyndaquil!
I decided to finish off the day yesterday with something non-human! I dug out all my old drawing books that I have had for so many years and barely used. I had some Pokémon drawing books, so this isn’t my design. I followed the guide in the book and I think he turned out well! I also tried a new brush to draw him, and saved pictures at each step (in the spoiler).
I haven’t posted in a month, probably because the only things I’ve drawn in the last month were all for Camp Bell Tree, and it’s kept me so busy! I’m just going to dump all of my Camp Bell Tree stuff here since it’s all TBT related.
There’s a lot, sorry. (Also, I got so busy that I stopped naming my image files properly, so hopefully I’ve uploaded all the final versions, but maybe I haven’t. A mystery! )
Camp Bell Tree profile picture and signature
The PFP and signature I used
The signature is blurry because instead of resizing a high quality image, my brain told me to just make the canvas 250 pixels high.
A spoiler in a spoiler for some of the other pictures I drew that I wasn’t happy with.
Camp Bell Tree task submissions
Bookful of Bugs
I had to learn about the parts of a bee to be able to draw a bee, and I guess I went down a little rabbit hole on honey bee facts, and decided to use it! I also got to do some different types of lettering for the first time.
Flag design
I know it doesn’t look like a flag.
Aquatic Album
We drew a lot of tadpoles!
Scribbles for the Discord
These had no purpose except to brighten the Discord chat, so I didn’t really clean them up, so they’re a bit messy.
Thunder made a comment that Chris was a little too interested in Cabin 5’s washroom situation.
We had a clue about a “bearer”, and we all went a little crazy.
Other stuff and non-camp stuff
Buzzy Bee Encouragement
I was just excited for the Buzzy Bees to reach a milestone, and bees are so cute.
Zipper T Bunny
This Zipper T Bunny was for Koopa’s challenge to draw an animatronic Zipper T. Bunny. It was an interesting challenge, and I enjoyed it a lot!
Poliwag birthdays
We had a couple of Poliwag birthdays! This picture was for 820, but we also had Shellzilla’s birthday. Unfortunately it was on the day everything was due and I didn’t get a chance to draw him a picture!
On a separate note, I tried a lot of different brushes when doing the Camp Bell Tree tasks, because I thought it would be a good opportunity to try out different brush types. I’ve been using Photoshop for iPad to draw, but I also tried Procreate last week and I didn’t like it, but it’s probably just because I don’t know how to use it yet! I only tried using it once, but my initial impression was that it seems like it has a lot more options than Photoshop for iPad, but I didn’t find the user interface very friendly. For now, I think I will stick to Photoshop for iPad, but I’ll definitely give it another try at some point.
I think I am going to pick just a couple of my favourite brushes now and focus on using those to draw different styles. I’ve tried lots of different brushes, but I don’t think I’ve tried lots of different styles. I‘m going to try and branch out and try to do things a little differently and see what happens!

I love your art! You are improving so fast and I honestly always thought your art was impressive not to mention adorable . Didn’t you once say you weren’t an artist? I still insist that you always were one. Keep it up! I can’t wait to see what you draw next .
