so i got a haircut...

long story short, i recently cut my hair to about collarbone length and i have absolutely no idea what to do with it.

does anyone else here with short/medium hair length have any tips on how to make it look nice?

please help me i'm clueless lol

You could try some loose curls using a curling iron. I think they look pretty nice.

Or straighten it, unless your hair is already straight.

I'm the same way with my hair... I have to keep it up all of the time for work and I want some variety besides the whole bangs and ponytail thing. When my hair was short like that I would use little bobby pins or clips to pull everything but my bangs back. Or you could use a cute bow or headband to get the same effect c:

I use to keep my hair at that length. I would mostly straighten it, then curl the ends in.


For more beachy waves you could use a deep waver, which actually works well with short hair.

I have my hair about that length maybe a little shorter. Its a very awkward length indeed when it comes to styling. I would suggest buying some little 8 prong hair clips like one of these, ya know? I gather up all my hair in the back and twist it and bring it up and clip it, so like the ends of my hair are facing up? Like this. I'm picky and OCD so sometimes it takes me a few tries because I want it in the middle lol. If your hair is thick like mine, you might wanna invest a few extra dollars and get some good ones because they little claws snap off easily on the cheaper made ones. The ones in the first picture are cheap. You'll want one with thicker plastic and is made for thick hair.

I have real short hair... have had it this way for well over a year now.
decorated salon clips are awesome for shorter hair. if you just want a decoration, at least. they're my favorite thing now.
my hair's curly and too short to really style. I have it parted slightly to the left.
I actually need to get mine cut. my bangs are getting long and they're starting to bother me.

i've never really used clips or anything of the sort in my hair- i don't know why
but i'll definitely be trying them in the near future !

I definitely know some tips for styling fine to medium length hair. Curl your hair with a curling iron all around. Then take smaller sections and curl those. Use either a hairspray or texturizing lotion to hold the loose curls in place. Wavy hair is easily the best hair texture to style. It can hold products in more and won't weigh down.

There's a whole bunch of things you can do to style your hair. What comes first is where you part your hair. Your personal style comes first then we can give suggestions.

I had my hair this length for a long time. I often pulled half of it up in a ponytail and left the other half down. If you hair curls or you're good at braiding (I'm not, sadly) then there's tons you can do! If not, there's tons of cute headbands and hair clips out there. I have super straight hair that won't curl, so hair clips are my friend.

yeahh, at this point in time i don't know how i feel about my short(er) hair.. i really love how it looks when it's curly, but when it's straight it's so eeeehhh.

i really wish i was coordinated enough to do fancy updos with my hair, but i'm not c': but nevertheless, i've found that putting half of my hair up looks adorable and so do pigtails!
i have yet to try out headbands and hairclips though -- same thing goes with pinning my hair back, but i've only had this haircut for like four days now

i usually do halfups , buns , and just plain down but you can always use braids in all kinds of ways . i'm just lazy hahaa
