So, I got mysteriously downgraded to 4 stars...

Over the past few months I've been inching closer and closer to finishing my island. It's a pretty big deal for me because I've never been satisfied with it, I'm always tearing stuff down and rebuilding, you know the drill.

But now... Boy, Mars is looking so beautiful. I haven't terraformed in months! Just adding finishing touches here and there...

Mushroom season came and I noticed something weird: no truffles. Felt a shiver go down my spine and went to talk to Isabelle for the first time in years... And I got downgraded to 4 stars.

I'm so pissed lol

She said something about the natural enviroment, told me to plant more trees. Let me tell you, lack of trees is not the problem.

But now I'm wondering... Does anyone know if trees with stunted growth count in the island rating system? Can anyone recommend a good resource for me to figure out what's missing to get that final star back?

Bit of a late response but if you're still waiting for an answer: Google tells me that stunted growth trees do not count towards your island rating. Do you know how many fully grown trees (bamboo trees count as well) you have? I think the simplest thing to do is to listen to Isabelle and simply plant a few more trees (the absolute maximum of trees you can have is 220 trees but I know you don't need anywhere near that amount for a 5 star rating)
