I wouldn't expect it. Plus honestly I don't think it will apply to your island. I think the off island stuff is separate beyond decor. I think the "techniques" they were referring to were basically saying you will get decoration ideas. Like learning how to use partitions in a creative way in a room. Like maybe you can score higher points or something with the HHA. Or maybe the techniques just unlock stuff as you hit goals.
