Hahahaha.. omg. This game is so much fun, and the graphics are beautiful.
I just started this game, and it's my first kid icarus...
So I was wondering if anyone has some newbie tips they can give me? I just raged-shutdown my 3ds because I lost a boss battle xD
 
What boss did you lose too?I'm curious.

Well,just basic tips.Practice dodging.The Monoeyes during the beginning of the ground portion of Chapter 1 are great for practicing dodging.

Also,how are you holding the 3DS as well?
 
Find the right weapon. Some prefer melee and others prefer long range, but I would suggest not using a club in a lot of the chapters. You can also lower the difficulty.

I knoooow but I want them hearts! I want cool weapons and stuff. and easy is for losers.
So do you think using melee and long range is a bad idea? That's mostly what I do. Long range and slowly get closer.

don't laugh. It was on chapter 3 and it was some kind of dragon. xD I just couldn't dodge some things, and I kept losing health. I'm just holding it like with both hands with a stylus in one hand.

No, I'm just saying that some weapons are geared more towards long range or short range. Some can do both like the pandora claws. If you put only melee stars in a melee oriented weapon, you can save weapon value on more useful mods when combining instead of wasting them on range stars and vice versa.

Yeah,Hewdraw is quite the annoying boss,with having to shoot down those orange orbs and all.Just shoot those orbs down when he's under them and try not to get hit.What weapon were you using when you fought Hewdraw?

Ok gotcha. So pick only weapons that compliment your fighting style to save stuff.
I'm still new to this, so I'm not entirely sure what range stars are. (noob status)

Yeah I always kept getting hit by the disks bc I was too distracted trying to hit the orbs!
I'm usually a legend of zelda player, and the bosses there are way easier than this hahahaha. But I was using a violet palm I think.

While the Magnus Club is awesome in multiplayer,most clubs really aren't great in solo mode,I'll be honest.Not being able to continuosly fire on enemies on solo is quite the downgrade.Also have fun on bosses that you can't melee,like the guy above me said.

On the main menu, there is a book-like option. In there is a bunch of tutorials that Sakurai included.
(Includes stuff like Powers, Dash attacks, etc.)
 
Honestly my favorite weapon for story mode missions are the Boom Orbitars but you don't get them until after you beat the last mission so...
Gaol and Viper Blade are pretty decent.
