Considering amiibo campers give you the option to choose who to replace from among your current villagers, the ridiculous resetting that people have to do for standard campers is absurd and smacks of milking the consumer for more money from amiibo card sales. They had the ability to make this as painless as possible and didn't.It wouldn't be hard- like I said, it's not perfect. I'd love if Nintendo made that option available to random campers. But getting them to select another villager isn't impossible, just a bit annoying. And there's ZERO risk of someone moving out you don't want (which, as people who've played previous games know, was a risk- villagers would move without any warning at times, as opposed to this game, where you can stop ANY villager from leaving before they do). As long as you reset right after they suggest the villager, you should be good. Unless you're unlucky enough that it kicks in in the few seconds it takes to read the name... I don't see how autosave is going to be a huge issue in THIS instance. Because, yes, autosave can be annoying. And there should definitely be a way to turn it off. But it's also saved me a effort of work when I've had to reset for some reason and would've lost a bunch of time and work otherwise.
I never said there was no room for improvement, just that these aspects in ACNH are better than they were in previous games. That doesn't mean Nintendo couldn't make them better.
Honestly, acquiring specific villagers in this game is a nightmare unless one's the type of person to enjoy random number generators and gacha. I sure didn't enjoy spending actual weeks trying to find Tucker on the the Nook Miles Islands to be my Lazy villager, seeing Sherb and Zucker probably like 20 times each. Even that seemed the better option than having to do this campsite resetting though; it sounds really tedious to have to reset for the specific camper you want and then keep resetting again to try to get them to kick out someone specific. I personally just resorted to etsy.
