I think what's usually done is a picture of the finished picture is shown with a big watermark, then you pay, then the watermark is removed from the picture C:

Then you can see what it looks like, but you can't run off with the art c;

Ah okay, I just get confused 'cuz someone does watermark then they remove but someone else finishes the drawings and I payed earlier xD
