I want it right infront of the waterfall going down from the cliffside (so opposite side of where the beach wraps around). I'm going to be really picky with the map as I want a good amount of room in front of the house for a fountain. I also really want the beach to the East so...

I just hope to have all my favorite villagers in the end, so I'm not too picky with who I start with.

I'm really hoping for Peaches, but I will be fine with Apples or Cherries. Anything else kind of stinks, but it's not the end of the world.

Big Top! he's my favorite! Also that new flamingo and the crazy clown sheep, and any villagers that have the new personalities

pears. In my past towns I have literally gotten all other fruits except pears. Ironic, because pears are my favorite fruit.

I like the lazy and jock personality villagers, so I'll probably end up being best friends with those

beautiful or never sleeps

I have an idea for one, but I'm still deciding.

It surprises me how many threads crop up that contain the question "which town rule are you going for"

For me, it changes.
I had rich while trying to make money
Now I have beautiful while trying to get golden can (I have a feeling I still have a lot of work to get perfect town status...)
I would probably default back to rich when I have the can,

I'd set it back to beautiful again when I know I wont be playing the game for a while.

I admit am "cheating" a little bit by having my clock permanently set back two hours. I get home from work around 6PM, sometimes 9:30PM and don't want shops closing on me when I can get started. So I basically never need to use the late night one, but if I'm on holiday it can help big time to use the early morning one (I wont move my clock, the 2hr offset is there to stay) so I can do my in game shopping before my holiday endeavours.
