well, me and my friends had put games on the school's network, we all thought that it was no big deal, we thought that if we were caught that we just would be made to delete what we put on there. When the boys down at IT finally caught up to what was happening, they came down on us like no tommorow here's the stats:
6 kids suspended for 3 days
2 kids kicked out of the class
1 kid arrested

most of my friends and I didn't get into any trouble, but thats probably because we made sure that we didn't do anything major, however word got out, and soon the whole drive we were useing was overrun with random crap and games, origanally we only put one game on the drive with all the other school stuff untouched, but when word got out chaos insuded. Now there are big consequences for messing with the computers at all, and IT has embedded tracker programs on the games. (Halo and Quake) everyone who is good with computers at my school is running scared, including me. Now it isn't my fault that all this happened it was on acciedent that I discovered the drive could be used by anyone, however I will NOT MESS WITH ANYTHING OWNED BY THE SCHOOL AGAIN especially since they take small issues seriously.

Well at least you didn't get in trouble
we learned a harsh lesson, thats for sure, I mean going to my forum doesn't get us into any trouble, but playing games during class does, however now we can get suspended for just playing Halo or Quake, so all we do when we're done with homework is either play ac:ww or mkds.

yeah, its no big deal now, we made sure to delete the games off our computers, so we won't be tempted to play games on computers anymore.

That is odd...trust me though the older you are the smarter the schools are I think.
No student at my school can install anything only teachers and they need to fill out paperwork....

not to mention I can't go on forums at school because of the stupid blocks on the schools internet

I can get to these forums with no problem, and for anything that I need that is blocked (except pictures, which is no big deal) just use a lanuage translater, like babel fish, and you can go to text-only versions of almost all sites.

That's pretty harsh. Arrested? Man...
thats what I heard, but the kid was a hard-core hacker too, so he may have done more then what I did, but idk for sure.

oh noes, suspended for 3 days... they'll live...

the stuff i've done at my school is.. "worse" : )

Wow, I'm sorry that happened to you. I'm glad you didn't get into (a lot) of trouble, though. Although, an arrest? That's serious. But, if he really was a hard-core cracker, than it makes some sense.

And, your school is, or was, very linent with computer technology. We can't install anything at our schools, and we have blocks on certain sites, although I'm able to access TBT from there.

:p But, I bet after this, your school won't be as loose with computer technology anymore.

I get ISS (In-School-Suspension) 2 times because of poser big shots. I hate the posers at my school so much.....gawsh....plus I know how to do the
