Something big happening?

Lately when I talk to my villagers they mention something "big" coming up? At first I thought it was Bunny Day related, but it seems to be different from the Bunny Day dialogue. For example:
Jock dialogue: "It's almost (island)'s big day! It'll be like leg day times one thousand!"
Lazy dialogue (roughly): "Something big is coming to (island). It's never happened before. It'll be like nothing we've ever seen!"

Is anyone experiencing this?? I find it odd.

I just assumed it was about the fishing tourney?
I'm pretty sure it will just be generic dialogue used whenever an event (such as the fishing tourney) is coming up
that's just my assumption tho i got no idea

The fishing tournament is coming up, as is bunny day, which as well all know, is 99% of villager dialogue right now.

I have seen him, I'm all done with the "tutorial" section of the game!

me: *excited to talk to my favourite villager for the limited amount of times I can per day without feeling like I'm annoying them*
villager: hey! I just love bunny day! bunny day is soon! eggs! everyone is so excited for bunny day! including orville! who told me a very secret secret! nobody knows about his secret but me! he told me if you visit a deserted island using a nook mile ticket, you can shake a rock and coconut trees will fall out! eggs! did I mention that bunny day is coming soon? eggs! I would love to have coitus with zipper t bunny! EGGS!

Probably not the place for this...but I have NEVER been asked to run an errand for a Villager, never been asked to make them anything, and I’ve never seen Celeste. I’ve played 150+ hours since launch....

I've been asked to do errands, and it may be a coincidence, but the villagers that have asked me are ones that I have a higher friendship with

Do you write them letters, talk to them (a lot), and give them gifts every day? I only get requests from the villagers that I do these things with

Also Celeste only shows up at night, if that helps

I got that dialogue today and assumed they were talking about the fish tourney on Saturday.

For my island I think it's the fishing tourney! They started directly referencing it today, but yesterday they kept talking about "something big" haha
