Something kinda' cool...

Have any of you talked to one of your genious neighbors, and had them mention another player to you?

Like, I was talking to one of them, and they started saying all this stuff about "Justin" from "Awesome" (wonder who that could be?), and how he was apparently such a fantastic fisher, and that "Maggie" told her so...

And it's not even like Justin was on my AC-friends list prior to that conversation.

So, I dunno', I just thought that was kind of a cool little feature...

Have any of you had animals "gossip" about fellow players?

Yup. What I found more interesting today is that the animals gossip amongst each other if someone from another town speaks to them. For example, I went to G.O.R.E's town yesterday (E-Blue). One of his animals told me that the town was haunted, and that if you find a four-leaf clover, gyroids will pop up all over the place.

Well, that was yesterday. Talking to one of my animals today, she said, "Did you hear about E-Blue and how gyroids pop up in their town?"

Made me laugh. And fear. Much fear.

I've had my villagers say some...questionable things about Gabby/
The villager AI in this game is simply amazing.

What I think is the coolest, is that yesterday one of the animals asked me to tell my sister "clothes". It was an actual errand! When my sister got on, the animal said, "did loli tell you my message?" and my sister had to type the word "clothes". She then gave both of us clothes.

Yeah Peaches had my tell my sister "wallpaper" and that she knew what that meant... its pretty sweet...

Also when animals move from other towns they can carry any custom phrases, clothes patterns or letters with them. That's what the options at pelly are for, if you say that kiki dresses horribly then her clothes will be changed.

I just got an errand to do, and the animal who asked me to do it said, "oh, but i already asked (my sister) to get a ray for me! but i don't care who gets it, as long as they're fast" or something similar.

Hahaha. I have the same experience from animal crossing population growing. A friend of mine visited, and left. Im pretty sure he didnt send any messages. Anyway, some animal sent me a message showing a picture of a middle finger (u know with all the symbols in a line). I jumped out of my seat. She was like: pretty cool, eh? i wish i got that type of stuff from you. Was weird as heck. Also, Animals remember you as they move, and they keep their letters. so an animal that moved 50 towns can show a letter to some1 that doesnt even know that first person! weird, huh?

Indeed, thats called Viral gameplay.

Same thing may happen with constellations, and messages in bottles in Wild world, if nobody picked them up off the shores, they could just keep going from town to town.

Gotta love it.

KK cool. Ill try to do that =P. I dont have a DS, thus i didnt play WW much. But i hope this has bottles and constelations/etc too!

It's cool how the animals keep up with gossip and the like, but they need more dialogue trees and things to say...

too bad soup doesn't grow on trees...
