So there is a song that has touched my heart, and it is now one of my all-time favorite songs. It's called "The Show Goes On" by Bruce Hornsby. The chorus goes like this:

The show goes on, and the sad-eyed sisters go walking on
Everyone watching all along
The show goes on, as the autumn's coming
And the summer's all gone
Still without you, the show goes on.

Some people seem to think the song is about untimely death, but I prefer to see it in a positive light. I read a comment that someone made on it: "From my positive viewpoint I look at death as a part of life . . . indeed the show is a continuum and you shall go forth." I believe it is talking about a legacy after your death. But is it a good one? Just remember, the show goes on...

I think one of the big parts that makes me love it so much is the piano. There are many other songs by Bruce Hornsby that I absolutely love, beecause he plays so well. He is a role model for me. I also like how he speaks his mind in his songs lyrics, and he's not ashamed at all. He just wants people to feel...

This song makes me cry every time I hear it...

What song hits you right in the feels?

This one.. Heard it first time in a documentary I got to see during my film studies... and I think it was what hit me the most about the documentary as well.. "damn this was a good song"... Later that sequence with the song was used in a compilation documentary (Concerning Violence) and I decided to re-watch that documentary to hear it again and look up what the heck the song was called and who made it.. Since then I've been kinda stuck into old Portuguese music like that :3 (me such a geek)...

^Also that version if from some performance from French TV I think, the original was released in 1964 :3

Either this one...

Or this one. I played ACCF so much as a kid, and its opening theme just reminds me of the good old days and my old friends that I used to play the game with.

There's a lot of songs that practically kill my feels.

This song isn't even a sad song, but Mad Hatter by Melanie Martinez always kind of depresses me, as I always see it as the end of Crybaby. I know she's writing another album based off of that character, but idk..just makes me sad. And Cake has that effect too, since it's the last song on the deluxe album.

Because of You by Kelly Clarkson depresses me too, especially since I can relate to the lyrics a lot.

Hurt by Christina Aguilera used to make me lose it when I was younger...I mean, as soon as the song literally just started (not even the lyrics, but the melody), I would already be tearing up.

My Immortal by Evanescence...this song typically doesn't make me cry, but I was reading a story one time whilst listening to this song, and I was absolutely bawling.

I lost 3 friends in a car accident when I was in high school, then lost another one in college.. and this song speaks for me. I still can't hold my tears every time I listen to this song. I miss them, still remember their laugh and expression. One time I was at restaurant with my whole family where there's a live music show and the singer decided to sing this song lmao. Like, of all songs in the world, why tf you choose to sing sad song at a restaurant </3

"Just being alive. It can really hurt. These moment's given are a gift from time. Just let us try to give these moments back, to those we love, to those who will survive."

these aren't my favorite songs or even what i listen to but they usually bring a tear to my eye (lmao cheesy af) because they bring back happy/sad memories mainly from childhood and make me think abt things (i don't just cry at songs unless there's memories attached)

this song in general but i picked this version bc of the start

there's a lot more but I can only post 10 videos.. others; The Calling - Wherever You Will Go, Vanessa Carlton - A Thousand Miles, James Blunt - Goodbye My Lover (and also Wisemen by him too - actually that's a main one i just put it on and time 2 cry..,), Dido - White Flag, Maroon 5 - She Will Be Loved, Miley Cyrus - 7 Things (yea seriously lmao), JoJo - Leave, Rihanna - Umbrella, Goo Goo Dolls - Iris, Emeli Sand? - Clown & Daddy, Gareth Gates - Anyone Of Us.

Ahh you know, sometimes I can hear a song and I may not know the band or anything but when I can hear that alot of emotion has been put into the lyrics or the song it's self it can just reduce me to tears :D I'll link acouple incase anybody wants to see some (and maybe cry :p)

Wow! That's a lot of feel-hurting songs...

The song Fast Car by Tracy Chapman is one of my favorite songs! It just happens that it comes right before The Show Goes On on my playlist... It has such a nice tone to it...

I giggled a little at Unwritten, but I feel the same about all those songs :'( very nostalgic!

Also, Jumper - Third Eye Blind makes me tear a bit. It's such a good song, though <3

I can't think when I am put on the spot like this. I know there is more songs. Haha. But here is one.

Hit you in the positive feels or negative?

I can't sing Can't Keep My Eyes Off Of You. I would writhe into a ball of embarassment.

Otherwise, ZARD's Eien.
"There's nothing I wouldn't lose. I'll never be afraid. Just to be with you again."
This was a song written in the middle of her career, so in no way was this a farewell song. Conversely, she was writing more hopeful songs to sing once she fully recovered and got out of rehabilitation, but that never really came to fruition.
Her music has been around for 25 years. She's been gone for over 9 years.
But that love and hope... is pretty much immortal now, isn't it?
That spirit in life, I'll keep it with me always.

Oh goodness, I've been going through a lot in my personal life this year, so a lot of songs hit me hard. Recently, "Colors" by Halsey really hits me in the feels (since it really describes my situation). I have way too many, but that's the first one that comes to mind.

one song never fails to make me cry- Ascend's 'Final Farewell'. [x
seriously, this artist needs more credit! all their songs are amazing and so emotional, but this one always makes me cry.
