I've always loved creating big flower fields, and I'm even happier now that I can put a fence around them. However, I was wondering if I'm lowering my chances of getting new hybrids by directly putting the fence next to the flowers, like this:
---------
xoxoxox
oxoxoxo
vs
---------
(empty row)
xoxoxox
oxoxoxo
To maximize my chances of getting new hybrids, to I have to leave a space between the flowers and the fence? Thank you for helping me out!
Yes, you are lowering the chances. Even putting flowers in a diagonal grid lowers the chances. The maximize hybrids you would have to put two flowers youre breeding diagonally next to each other with open spaces surrounding them, then the next set would ideally have open spaces around it that do not overlap with the other pair’s open spaces.
That being said, that is the *ideal* way to maximize the odds. I just fence mine in in a diagonal grid with the open spaces overlapping and a fence around directly against the outermost flowers and they still spawn hybrids in between, just not as fequently.
