Splatoon Splatoon General Discussion (HYPE THREAD)

Pre-ordered mine the other day. :cool: So can't wait for it to come out already.
 
OMG I suck at timezones so hard. Can anyone tell me when this will happen in "sweden-time"?
 
Hey for those of you who have played the Testfire already what weapon is the best for a first timer? I'm between using the Roller or Splatter Shot (I'd honestly love to use both but my internet is too finicky to risk backing out to switch weapons.) The limited timeframe really sucks (it should at least be longer) I just hope it doesn't take me 10+ mins to get on like Animal Crossing...

I would say the Splatter Shot. It's more of the 'generic' rapid fire gun and it's pretty much just point and shoot. I thought it was a pretty good weapon as a whole cos I like that sorta thing, but it's definitely the one I would say is more friendly simply because it's similar to 'default' weapons in so many other games.

It being only an hour is pretty lame, if only because it's probably going to fall into a really awkward time for at least one region.


I think it's only at 11PM for me though, so screw every body else, I'm safe :3
 
@Holla: Personally, I would use either the Splattershot or Splattershot Jr. They don't cover as much ground within a short instant as the Roller, but the former allows for quite a lot of strategies. They can help you defending against pretty much anyone, they can effortlessly splat on the wall for scaling it faster, and they can even let you move fast if you know a certain trick.

I recommend taking the Splattershot Jr. over the original one, since it has a special move that bestows you a shield, which is very practical if you're in the middle of a chaos. The grenades aren't quite useful to defeat other Inklings, especially when they take the entire ink reserve, but they do put a stress for anyone's close to it, making it easier to guess where they would go.

If this is your first time, I recommend using the splattershot jr. Rollers can be pretty easy to kill unless you have a fair amount of skill :)
 
I can also vouch for being d/c a lot at the moment. Glad it wasn't just me. XD Probably just too many people trying to get on it at once. I've only been able to play two games so far XD
