ayo i just started playing this. anyone have suggestions for a good gun that's not too hard to learn? i am not big into most shooters so i'm not great at them, but i don't really like the roller. i'm level 9 rn.
 
I'm beginning to wonder if Run Speed Up is a good thing to have when using guns with slower fire rates? Was wearing the football helmet to unlock abilities and I found I move way faster when moving while shooting.

Splattershot (including the Tentatek version) has 'medium' range, damage, and fire rate, and is thought by some players to have an easy learning curve for newcomers. Not to say you cannot become a force of reckoning, though, as I have seen A+ ranked players dominating with it.

That said, I would recommend testing everything out when the chance comes, as you may end up liking something unexpected. (Relatedly, my brother found out he loves blasters when initially he was underwhelmed by the range and fire rate; a few matches revealed advantages he did not anticipate, such as blasters consuming less ink, and having area of effect damage for hidden opponents (esp. on ledges).)

Edit: When using a Splattershot, I would recommend ink savers for your gear. As for blasters, I have no experience with them so maybe someone here who does may correct me if I am giving poor advice, but, from what I observed, I would recommend shooting at a slightly upward angle rather than straight or toward the ground, and some players who use blasters swear by the frequent use of the jump button to make them more evasive targets against players with faster fire rate.

thanks!! i'll try it out. i'm just looking for something to ease myself into using guns first that i can still win with, lol
 
Ranked is so fair sometimes. I was just on a team of chargers (an E-Liter, Squiffer, and Splatterscope) and we lost (though not as bad as I would have thought) but I only got a -6. That was totally perfect. :)
 
Anyone know if its splatzones at the moment?

Yaay my name is catching on! :D

After using the Octobrush a lot lately, I went back to the Inkbrush. I feel so bad for leaving it because I still like the Ibkbrush a lot better and get generally better scores. (Averaging 1,000 points not including win bonus.)
