The Japanese Twitter account for Splatoon has tweeted a rather cryptic message. What appears to be a 2020 celebration reflects an SOS with "Save Our Salmons" spelled out in the water.

As cryptic as the image was I don’t think it’s hinting towards anything other than Salmonoid lore.
