So I've seen a lot of 2 sided arguments about whether or not we are allowed to post about real world items we are selling for real money. Some people say you can't and some say you can.

In the rules the only thing it says is...

Prohibited Transactions
Do not post about trading the following:

"Forum bells or forum shop items in exchange for real money, gift cards, or items representative of real money.
Animal Crossing bells, items, or villagers in exchange for real money, gift cards, or items representative of real money.
Duplicated, hacked, or power-saved items in Animal Crossing.
Any other item in conflict with our rules and guidelines.
Items representative of real money include download codes for games and other digital content and physical items with real money value."

I was looking to put a post up of some art I'm making and I wanted to sell. Some clarity on this much debated topic would be helpful :)

Not a staff member butI'm pretty sure you can sell art for real life money seeing as a bunch of artists are doing so in the Museum Shop.

Thanks for the help, I didn't realize there were other people doing this too. I never saw a thread up that wasn't tbt payment before ^_^

We do currently allow people to advertise IRL cash commissions for art so long as any private information is kept to PMs. :)

You can't sell things that are made and produced by other companies(ex. Amiibo cards, Video games, gift cards, anything that has a price tag basically) but you can however giveaway things and trade them. Also if you made a certain item like art or dolls you can sell that for RLC since you made it yourself.
