The contests are over, but the ultimate one, the champion tournament, begins. For the next six entries, I will be going over the Champion Tournament in detail. One confirmation entry, one ceremonial entry, and four entries on the rounds.
At 7:00 AM on February 13th, Kaylee wakes up the eight previous winners and allows them to enter the carnival early. Sheldon, who was banished for bad behavior, has changed his behavior and apologized. Kaylee welcomes him back, but it was already too late since the contests were over. But he can still play the carnival games or ride the rides. Meanwhile, Caroline, Rosie, Cherry, Amelia, Roald, Egbert, Julian, and Bruce all went to the carnival. Kaylee invited them to arrive early, but only to show them how to play in the final contest. At 7:30, she took the eight winners to the Ice Rink Stadium.
The stadium had no rooftop over the arena and audience seating, but it had conveniences. There was a squared ice rink with two bumper cars on each side. The audience seating had 20 seats per row, two rows per side, and on all four sides. There was a way to access the bumper cars from the main tunnel.
When all nine inhabitants made it to the arena's rink, Kaylee had to give a speech.
"Thank you all for winning every contest in the past four days," said Kaylee. "This area is where your final contest takes place. The Friday contest is called 'The Champion Tournament'. The rules are that you have these bumper cars to ride. Each car creates a glow trail of a different color. The darker the environment is, the brighter the glow. I want all eight of you to hop onto a bumper car. Boys get the cold colors, and girls get the hot colors. I will go to the broadcast station as you all get on a car."
The eight contestants had to pick their cars. Amelia got the pink bumper car, Cherry had red, Rosie had orange, Caroline had yellow, Bruce had green, Julian had light blue, Roald had dark blue, and Egbert had purple. Their cars were set to off due to the central control unit. Kaylee got to the station to make her future announcements.
"Alright everyone!" said Kaylee, "each bumper car has two pedals and a steering wheel. Left pedal slows the car down, as the right one accelerates the car. Steering wheel rotates it. All cars are linked to a central wi-fi system. Let me turn them on."
Kaylee turns on the cars from the system. The lights on all of the cars lit up. The point value shows up on the digital face screen of each car. Rosie started moving her bumper car. It created an orange trail that glowed. Caroline moved hers. It had a yellow glow. Roald moved his in a cirlce, creating a dark blue glowing circle in the arena. Amelia tried making her trail as long as she could, but as soon as she continues moving, the oldest part of the trail starts disappearing. All eight stopped as Kaylee makes another announcement.
"Everyone will be given 10 points now. But let's move onto the next part. Each time when you cross someone else's trail, you lose points. And if someone crosses your trail, you earn points. The goal of this game is to dodge other trails as much as you can. All eight of you should try this. The entire game involves crossing someone else's trail. Cross your own trail, and you get nothing."
The eight contestants tried testing this out. Amelia tried to trap Rosie in a circle. The only way out for Rosie is to give up a point. Roald got Egbert into making a trail so he could give him five points. Caroline, Cherry, and Julian all drove next to each other side by side as Bruce crossed all three of their trails three times to create a squiggle with three strikethroughs. At this point, Bruce has only one point, Caroline, Cherry, and Julian have 13 each. Amelia got 11 as Rosie got nine. Egbert has 15 as Roald has five.
"How did you like this? Although you were purposely crossing lines to test it out, you want to dodge them in the real game. I will reset values to 10 each. But you all get 30 minutes. Whoever has the highest value by the end of the time gets a pass where you always go to the front of the line at the rides. Second place winner gets free admissions to the carnival games. Third place gets free food at the Dining Lodge. Prizes expire at 6:00 PM today."
Kaylee begins the pre-contest round. All eight contestants tried to dodge the trails. Amelia trapped both Rosie and Caroline, but she lost two points in sacrifice to keep them trapped. Egbert tried dodging the whole time, but his trail was constantly crossed by other contestants. Of the eight, Bruce was doing the worst. Nobody crossed his trail as he only crossed other trails. Egbert was the only one who had other contestants cross his trail while never crossing any trail. And Amelia was the most neutral. She crossed others' trails just as many times as her trail got crossed.
After 30 minutes was up, Egbert was the winner with 30 points. Julian had 16 points. Cherry had 14 points. Amelia had 10 points. Caroline had 5 points. Rosie had 3 points. Roald had 2 points. And Bruce was the only one without points.
"Congratulations to Egbert with 30 points!" said Kaylee. "Here you go, you get to always be in front of the waiting lines, but only until six o'clock tonight. Julian, you don't have to spend your tickets on carnival games for the majority of the day. Cherry, all food is free until six, and that right is only reserved for you. All eight of you, this is only a pretest. The first round of the real contest begins at eleven o'clock in the morning. Each round will go down by two contestants until the finals. Winner gets to choose who gets eliminated in the next round. Whoever wins the final round wins the entire contest. You all have won first place in your contests, so who is going to get it for the Champion Tournament? There are four rounds today, and each are separated by a two-hour break. If you wanna win, don't cross the line. And double crossing will be double the loss."
All eight contestants parked their bumper cars near their stations as Kaylee left the stadium. Egbert, Julian, and Cherry picked up their passes. For the rest of the pre-opening hours, all eight contestants were talking about how excited they were for the contest or how they enjoyed the other eight contests. Caroline said that she always gets second place. The only time she didn't is when she won the entire contest. Rosie mentioned all about her snowmobile and how she enjoys making it. Cherry talked about how to play in the treasure hunt and how she enjoyed it. Amelia discussed the results of the cook-off. Roald talked about his igloo. Egbert talked about the entire snowball fight. Julian talked about how lucky he was at the sledding race as Bruce talked about his skiing ability. Also, all eight of them were wearing their blue ribbons to represent that they won their contests. They discussed what trophies they got too.
