Due to the number of days left in the month, I need to rush through. This whole 4-day break was a break that I was too lazy to blog. At that point, I realized that I'm getting tired of blogging, as it felt like it was a chore. Or was it the stories that made me lose interest? Let's continue on in the third round of the Champion Tournament.

Issue #16: Points Mode

At 5:00 PM, everyone went back to the stadium for the third round. The remaining contestants are Caroline, Rosie, Roald, and Julian. Penny makes the opening announcement for the third round.

"Welcome back!" said Penny. "You must be excited for the third round of the Champion Tournament! The rules still apply, but this round will have a different objective. The total amount of points is 80 since only four remain. This round will last as long as it can be. But when one scores 50 points, the round is over. The first one to score 50 points wins. The winner gets to choose who goes to the next round. The eliminated one who does better will receive an award, but will not play in the final round. Let the evening game begin!"

Like the previous two rounds, the four contestants got 20 points each. Because of Roald's and Rosie's poor performances in the previous rounds, they try harder to avoid crossing lines. In fact, their lines have to be crossed 30 times to win, with extra crosses for every time they cross a line. Caroline and Julian also want to avoid crossing lines, even if they won before.

Roald and Rosie had to work together by tricking the other players. For example, Rosie had to make a squiggly trail while Roald creates a border, which means Juilan or Caroline will have to lose points either way. Caroline was sneaky enough to avoid, but Julian was being hit hard. Meanwhile, Roald was doing very good as he never crossed a line when he's earning points, but Rosie was messing up because of Caroline.

Around the end, Caroline scored more than Rosie and Julian, but Roald was even higher in his scores. When his bumper car got to 50 points, all cars have been turned off. Caroline had 15 points, Rosie had 10, and Julian had five at the end of the third round.

"Round three is now over!" said Penny. "Congratulations to Roald for being the first one to score 50 points! As a result, you get to choose who's continuing in the Champion Tournament. You're one of the participants in the future, so who else? Everyone else, there's one last round at eight."

Roald, Rosie, Caroline, Julian, and Penny were all talking on the ice rink about who's continuing in the contest. Roald admitted that there's no need for Julian to continue. He has won both a previous round and one of the prizes in the pre-contest. Besides, Roald is looking for a female villager. Therefore, only Caroline or Rosie gets to continue. For the whole time, Caroline did much better than Rosie. She was in first place in the first round while Rosie was in last place. She was in third place in the second round while Rosie was in fourth place. And other than Julian, Rosie did the worst in the third round. As a result, Caroline is more likely to continue, but Roald rejected her for being a normal villager. Not only that, but Rosie hasn't won yet, so Roald chose Rosie as the other competitor. Since Caroline did better than Julian, she is guaranteed to win an award, but she cannot play in the next round or not show up for the finals.

Since the prizes from the pre-contest expired after the third round, Egbert, Julian, and Cherry went back to the Hotel Lodge.
