“Assorted” Collector
I might be retiring from blogging, but I need to decide on that. I had fun writing these fanfic entries, but I just get tired easily. I'll still continue the fanfics, but after this month, I'll be done. I'll still post blog entries, but I felt pressured this whole time. Anyway, this is the last entry to the Friday contest. Who's going to win? Rosie or Roald?
At 8:00 PM, everyone returned to the stadium for the last round. Rosie and Roald were at the rink, the boys root for Roald as the girls root for Rosie. Penny makes the last announcement.
"Welcome back everyone!" said Penny. "This is the final round of the Champion Tournament. The winner of this round is the ultimate winner of the Winter Carnival. In this round, there are two flags popping out in some section. Those are gates. They represent treasure. Each time when you cross them, you get 5 points as a treasure bonus, but they go back down. Here's the trick. Everyone's trails are much shorter, but you want to cross the trails. If one crosses your trail, you lose five points. If you cross a trail, you get five points. The person who has the most points by the time all of the treasure is gone wins. Let the night game begin!"
Rosie and Roald started moving their cars. Because Rosie did poorly in the last few rounds, she had to drive much faster to excel. Roald couldn't drive any faster so he can't lose accuracy. Rosie claimed the first treasure. Then she got the second, and the third. But when Roald got the fourth one, Rosie took it from Roald.
Ten treasures later, both were able to get a balance in scores. Roald decided to move faster since he is losing. Rosie claimed more treasures than Roald, but Roald stole more treasures from another player than Rosie.
When 24 treasures were claimed, both players have 60 points. There was one more treasure to claim. Roald bumped Rosie out of the way to get to the gates, but it caused Rosie's car to pass through the gates. The last treasure was claimed by Rosie.
"Alright!" said Penny, "the final round is over! Congratulations to Rosie for having the most points after all treasure chests are claimed. In a few minutes, there is an awards ceremony. Please stay as Kaylee gets the prizes."
