Hopefully, they won?t make Spongebob bad again like when the first time the creator left. And I hope it won?t get cancelled due to this.

this really upsets me. spongebob was my absolute favorite show growing up, and it's terrible to see the man behind such an iconic show pass at such a young age. may he rest in peace. </3

May he rest in peace &#55357;&#56468; this breaks my heart to pieces. Spongebob was such a big part of my childhood, and I still enjoy it so much to this day. We've been losing so many great people in 2018.

This news is so sad for my childhood. I think many of the people that love Spongebob and all the spin off movies/memes will dearly miss the creator. The OOG spongebob was even dark in humor and really deeper than it looked on the surface. RIP.

What terrible news. I remember when he was first diagnosed so this makes it surreal. There is no denying the worldwide cultural impact the show made. RIP to a legend in animation.
