Do you think that since we can put furniture outside now, we can play music on the stereos outside as well?

Also, I'm wondering that if a gyroid gets put outside, it can dance to the beat of the hourly music.

i would love for stereos to be outside, so if u go to a certain area in town u get unlimted kk music, however i would only want it in that certain area, as i am a sucker for all the hourly season musics

That would rock.
I'd love to have moving gyroids outside.

I was wondering about this too. If this is possible, I wonder the radius around which the stereo replaces the outside music.

Further, I really hope they fix Gyroids in this game. New Leaf is the only game I know of where the gyroids do not seem to obey the tempo of the playing music and just do things randomly.

Just made me wonder about dumping identified fossils.

We might be able to display an entire dinosaur outside.

A T-Rex next to my house!

Jurassic Park!!!!!!!

I think it will be possible to place them outside and let them music play. I could imagine that the music will be loud enough to "replace" the hourly music around the house area and then gets more and more quieter if you go away from said area till you are so far away that the hourly music starts to play again. Or they give you the option to decide how you want to handle the music, like if it should play everywhere, just around the house area etc.

I had not thought about this possibility before, but if it's possible, that would be amazing. I'm curious if they would just blend the daily music out as you approach the stereo, or maybe a global track could play? I imagine if they figured out an effective way of implementing this, it could greatly increase the feel and versatility of your island.

LOL, I actually knew someone that said that in order to annoy visitors, he'd fill up his island with gyroids, although in all of the Animal Crossing games, it's to my understanding that there's a cap on the amount of gyroids that can move at once.

See, I'm not sure if you guys remember this, but in City Folk on Wi-Fi, there was a music glitch where if you were visiting someone's town, and you stopped and played a song enough times, it would follow you throughout the game. I wonder if this said scenario could be similar.

Didn't know this, as I never played online in City Folk back then and therefore never heard of this glitch. But sounds interesting!

That'd be great! They could add some new music too, so there's more variety.

jvgsjeff documented this.

Hua... i hadn't even thought about Music outside. I guess I'm not sure how that would work yet. We don't know if there will be restrictions to what furniture can even be outside yet. I just know I'm complete torn if i want to do like a full on trailer park town with sofas on the beach and weird furniture littered all over or if i want to do something complete classy. I'm torn on both extremes. Either way a stereo outside would help fit the mood of both extremes I have in mind.

I bet so. I really hope they add new music!

It seems like new K.K. Slider songs get added with every Animal Crossing game. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the new additions, following the trends of the previous games, would be songs played in New Leaf if you tell K.K. Slider to play a non-existent song.

I would love this! Music is pretty great to have in my house, but having it outside would be really neat! I'm sure the music doesn't go too far depending on where you're at, just nearby the stereo. I wonder if there's a radio and if there is, does it change music every so often? I wouldn't mind having one, because I could put a chair nearby and I would listen to it all day long. ^-^

If you don't remember, in New Leaf, you can put the stereos on "shuffle" and it will sort through K.K. Slider songs.

Also, now I wonder, since TVs exist in Animal Crossing, would they still make noise outside? What about other noise-making furniture?

I don't want anymore K.K. music. There's so many already. Loading the stereo used to be a nightmare until you could order the songs in New Leaf.

Ah, I didn't know that. I never really fiddled around with my stereo. I usually just picked a song to play in one of my rooms and called it good. XD

Thanks for sharing this. I might have to try it out later. :)

I actually hardly ever used the shuffle feature in NL, the main reason I finally tried it out was that back in 2017, after waiting since the game's release here in the US back in 2013, I finally got my hands on 7-11 DLC items. So, I decided to use them (with some assistance of other items as well from other sets) to create a 7-11-themed room in the Museum (using Celeste's customized rooms), and one thing I decided to do was put a tape deck in the room that I used the shuffle feature for! I largely chose it because I didn't know what K.K. Slider song would be fitting to play in a 7-11 LOL, and then I realized, most convenience stores have radios that play different songs at different times, which is why I realized the shuffle feature would be best to use for it. :p
