Idk if I'm posting this on the right section?

I just wanted to ask those who play it,
Is it okay if I play it without looking at any walkthrough/help? Will it screw up a lot of things?

I'm thinking of taking my time to get materials and all but of course it means a lot of in game days wasted just doing that. Plus there's the involvement of seasons. I want to NOT talk to any people in the townfor now and focus on building up my farm/town, would that work? ;-;

Anyone tried playing totally without a tutorial at all? I hope that it is possible, and if something is missed out it can be easily covered/done later or anytime in the game. Do I even make any sense? lol

Thanks :)

You can definitely play it without looking at tutorials. I've never been able to lol, cause I like seeing what items are the in the games and when they are available, and stuff like that.

But definitely playing without looking at anything online is much more fun.

I haven't played totally without, I like looking up villagers birthdays so I know what to gift them and I used a guide to check progress on unlocking shops but I'm sure you can play happily without doing so as well :).

Just a spoiler though on the not talking to villagers right away just in case you didn't know, one is unavailable after year one;

Eda won't be around after year one anymore as she sadly dies, and she has a few unique cut scenes as you build friendship with her. Not overly important but in case you didn't know and wanted to get her cutscenes thought I'd post :)

Aaaaah thank you both so much for telling me!!
I feel better now playing the game naturally. It's going to be a little stressful to keep up with walkthroughs and all so I'm glad to know! Also omg I didn't know that about Eda... that's so sad D:

I still play Story of Seasons and love it! ^-^ I'm very excited for Trio of Towns to be released.

As for playing without a walk through, it is most definitely possible! Some people like to play that way, and some people like to know every minor detail about the game. Personally I go back and forth a lot. ^-^

I'm excited for Trio too, even though I havent properly played SoS ;-; Still in spring lol. Idk if I regret buying the game first, or should've just waited for Trio to come out then get it cus I really love the storyline and concept of having three whole towns! :p

I think SoS is definitely worth playing. It has some flaws for sure, and a lot of the grinding has gone away in Trio apparently. SoS isn't the best of the series, but I think it is solid. ^-^

Oh, I'm glad to hear some of the grinding has gone away in Trio! I enjoyed the first SoS, but I felt like some of the requirements to unlock all of the vendors were a little ridiculous. Maybe it's just me, though. XD I stopped playing shortly after I had my kids. I think I still needed to unlock two more vendors at that point? Anyway, maybe I will check out Trio if there is going to be less grinding involved. :D I enjoyed the game, otherwise.
