Strangest videos YouTube recommended to you?

As most of you know, YouTube's algorithm is frequently mocked for its performance. Personally, I think it's been bad for years. For some, however, it's horrifically bad. Whether that be content that was watched previously to straight-up clickbait, it's no wonder why many hate it.

And then there's the random recommendation that has absolutely nothing to do with what you're watching, and it's just there. Why? Who knows. For example, you'll be watching videos about racing games, and a video on how to make a salad shows up. Since when do racing games and salad making go hand-in-hand? You can't do both at the same time, for crying out loud!

Simply put, share anything YouTube has recommended to you that you personally find strange. Posting the actual video is not required, but make sure it's in line with forum rules and it doesn't contain sensitive content.

I've been getting a lot of random ASMR videos recommended to me lately, and I don't even watch ASMR channels. Videos like "Makeup-artist ruins your wedding day ASMR" or something like that. They're honestly hilarious though so I'm not really complaining.

I'm pretty sure it won't be on the curriculum next year though, so I won't have to study it, but damn, there has been so many students who had to watch and study this for their exam lol. Still wish youtube didn't recommend it to me though, it's... unsettling to watch, to say the least.

Might as well add my own example that somehow bypassed my third-party filters.

I’ve been watching a bunch of YTP’s, video game streams and the like as of late, and this random video about a debate regarding Windows 11 privacy concerns compared to Windows 10 got recommended to me today. I don’t even watch technology news videos for one thing, and the topic it delves in is a rather sensitive one that I obviously have no interest in.

Normally I just get recommended videos I’ve already watched (the algorithm has been absolute garbage like this for years), but stuff like this occasionally leaks by without explanation. Eh, at least I can hide such videos from view.

I get most jihad videos sometime and that was made me scared! I was raised in this to be Sunni Muslim but I do not have the belief . I do not want to make a jihad certainly not! It is gone for some month now and instead is telling me video Elon Musk is reptile. I cannot believe it srsrsrs

I don't see recommendations on YouTube anymore since I disabled the side tab of recommended and even the homepage. A lot of it wasn't even stuff I had checked up or would be interested in like it was implying and lately a lot of the videos have been hate and rage farming and just overall toxic for whatever reason and I didn't want to see any of those when I would hop on. This was one of the last ones I saw on the recommended tab that was weird but I liked it lol!

It's a little sad how blank the YouTube page is to me now that I disabled so much of it, but it just isn't worth seeing all the hate.

I mean I thought it was cute anyway
