Since Switch (and of course Switch Lite) are portable, I'm wondering whether they'll add a Streetpass feature again? I think it would be really cool since there might be more activity and streetpass opportunities when the game has just released.. I get very few on New Leaf (unless I bring it to a convention type thing). And it would also give Nintendo the opportunity to do a few location based branded deals like the 7-11 items we had in New Leaf. I would love more of those!

The switch doesn't have a street pass feature, and I doubt they can simply add it into the software. Street pass is a feature that'll stay only on 3ds.
Oh yes, of course.. I didn't even think of that. And I suppose without the feature being built in in the console, it's not something they can add into the game code.
Not sure if Nintendo would build in Streetpass just for Animal Crossing. If they may expanding it to other games, like Pokemon for example, than I guess it's worth it. The only thing I can imagine is that if Streetpass will not coming back in any way that they will offer instead more online related features to cover it up.
Yes that would be cool! You could use codes to redeem items you've earned going somewhere, buying something, .. That would be neat.
Oh yes for badge completionists that one is quite a task to obtain.. If not nearly impossible! I rarely get streetpasses. I got one on the train once when commuting (that was so surprising to me), I think I got one or two while traveling across the world (which took multiple trains, crowded airports, ..) and all the others came from a convention.
Me neither! And still I have two backpacks..
But indeed they're not the school type backpacks. But not to worry as I totally forgot Streetpass isn't even a function on the Switch anyway

It would be interesting if they did add it back, but I don't go out that often, so when New Leaf first came out, I rarely got any because I rarely took my 3ds with me. Also, I really don't like the idea of carry my Switch around, even in a backpack. I'm the cautious type.
