The undergraduate course that I'm hoping to start taking in September has the option to study abroad for the duration of your 3rd year, and I've been thinking about where I'd like to go if I do decide to take the option. For cost reasons I've been looking into Scotland and France seeing as they're fairly nearby so studying there would be relatively inexpensive, but I'd love to spend a year somewhere in the US or Canada either... I'm not really sure atm!

What about you all? Have you studied abroad before? If not, would you like to? Where would you go?

I haven't finished high school yet (only 2 more terms!) and I don't plan on starting university until I'm a mature-aged student (21 y/o), but if I had the chance to study abroad, I'd go to Canada for sure.

Also, I love your signature; made me smile.

As a part of my course I have to study abroad in japan for a year. Basically my first two years of uni are just preparing me for that. :') so learning all of the essential grammar and kanji, etc etc. We have to start thinking about applications at the start of the next university year so I'm a little worried. It's gonna be so expensive so I really need to start saving a lot of money. I know that I don't want to go to Tokyo for uni (just because of expenses and such), but I have no specific preference.

havent studied abroad and i dont plan to, since its not really something useful for the career im going into

I didn't study abroad, but many people I knew went to France, Austria and Australia. Being from Canada most people went for the lowest cost option, being Austria

They loved going overseas, it was a great experience. If I were you, and had the financial support I'd go to Canada. The cost will vary depending on what province and university you go to - so will your experience. I went to the U of S, it's a city but with a small town feel. I love it. If you go to Toronto or Victoria they are much bigger cities
