So, I come from another forum that also uses XenForo, and I know the platform supports that option. Just like the "who's online" section, there's a tab where it displays the mods that are online at the moment.

I know that it may not look that important or useful, but sometimes we need to report something important and it would be good to see if there's anyone online that could deal with the problem in question. (In my case, I just reported a problem that goes far beyond the common "internet fight", as it is potentially harmful to users, visitors AND to The Bell Tree website).

you just need to wait for the report to go through or make a contact the staff thread about any issues, tbh

some mods may show as online, but may also be online but show as offline for various reasons of their own choosing, and I don't see them being denied that ability

I get that. It's just something that gives more transparency, I think.

I don't know, it may be because I'm used to that for years and I always looked at that as a good thing. It also, for some reason, seed to inhibit people from doing stupid things, because they feel like the mods will act fast. Anyway, it's just a suggestion.

well, I mean I can say from experience that also one major reason they may choose to go off the radar is to not be bombarded by users demanding them to act on stuff asap

plus, if people are only gonna behave due to seeing that a mod is active, then that just gives greater reason for stealth staffwork, imo :lemon:
